We’ve captured a lot of spy photos of the upcoming GMC HUMMER EV undergoing pre-production testing. Since GM has let the cat “out of the bag” on what the production HUMMER EV will look like and be capable of, the HUMMER EV production team hasn’t exactly been shy to drive the off-road electric truck around town.
But those pre-production HUMMER EV have been using pre-production parts. Headlights, tail-lights, and other pieces have been missing while undergoing testing. Until now.

Our spy photographer has captured the first pre-production HUMMER EV with production-intent tail lights. It’s also sporting an accessory bed and roof racks for good measure.
Read our report below, soak in the photos, and then come on over to the GM-Trucks.com GMC HUMMER EV forum and let us know what you think!
Our photographer reports:
We spotted a couple new details on a Hummer EV Pickup prototype caught testing on public roads.
We get our first look at the Hummer’s production-spec tail-lights instead of the rough placeholders fitted to all prior prototypes. We also see some new accessories for the first time on a test truck—a roof rack and bed rack combo that will add some more cargo hauling and functionality for the resurrected Hummer truck.
