Six trims, six wheels, and a 17 to 22 inch spread from work boots to jewelry. With the 2027 Sierra 1500 configurator now live, we have already covered the exterior paint palette and the interior color combinations. Time to finish the set: this is the standard wheel for every 2027 Sierra 1500 trim.

One important caveat up front. The configurator’s Wheel tab currently shows exactly one wheel per trim: the standard fitment. Optional upgrade wheels and dealer-installed LPO accessory wheels are not loaded yet, and the order guide that will spell them out (with RPO codes) has not been published. So treat this as the base rolling stock, with more designs to come. Our RPO code library will be ready for them.

2027 Sierra 1500 Standard Wheels by Trim

Here is every standard wheel as GMC’s configurator lists it, from the bottom of the lineup to the top.

Trim Size Standard Wheel
Pro 17″ Painted Silver Wheels
Elevation 20″ Machined Aluminum with Dark Android Accents
AT4 18″ Aluminum with Dark Android Accents
AT4X 18″ Gloss Black Machine Aluminum Finish
Denali 20″ Pearl Nickel Aluminum
Denali Ultimate 22″ Diamond Cut Aluminum with Dark Android Accents

A few patterns emerge immediately. Dark Android is GMC’s accent finish of the moment, showing up on three of the six trims. And notice that wheel size does not climb neatly with price: the off-road trims deliberately sit at 18 inches while the cheaper Elevation rides on 20s. More on that below.

Pro: The Honest Work Wheel Lives On

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Pro in Dark Ridge Metallic with standard 17 inch painted silver wheels
The Pro’s standard 17 inch painted silver wheel keeps the classic work truck look alive on the 2027 Sierra 1500.

The Pro’s 17 inch painted silver wheel is the classic multi-hole work truck design, and we mean that as a compliment. It is also the only wheel in the lineup whose configurator description does not include the word “aluminum,” which tells you what you need to know about its mission: fleet duty, easy replacement, and zero pretense.

There is a certain irony that the cheapest wheel here is also the one the aftermarket copies for retro builds. On a Dark Ridge Metallic Pro, it looks fantastic.

Elevation: Denali-Size Wheels, Street Truck Attitude

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation in Dark Ridge Metallic with standard 20 inch machined aluminum wheels with Dark Android accents
The Elevation’s standard 20 inch machined aluminum wheels with Dark Android accents match the Denali for size.

The Elevation is the street truck of the lineup, and its standard wheel says so: a 20 inch machined aluminum design with Dark Android accents, the same size the Denali gets. The bright machined faces against the dark pockets give it the most contrast of any wheel here. If you want the monochrome sport look without touching the options sheet, this is the trim.

AT4 and AT4X: Smaller Wheels on Purpose

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 in Dark Ridge Metallic with standard 18 inch aluminum wheels with Dark Android accents and all-terrain tires
The AT4 pairs its standard 18 inch aluminum wheels with taller all-terrain rubber for trail duty.

Both off-road trims run 18 inch wheels, and that is exactly what you want. A smaller wheel means more tire sidewall, and sidewall is what soaks up rocks, ruts, and aired-down trail work. The AT4’s six-spoke aluminum wheel wears Dark Android accents and comes wrapped in all-terrain rubber.

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X in Dark Ridge Metallic with standard 18 inch gloss black aluminum wheels and aggressive all-terrain tires
The flagship off-road AT4X runs an 18 inch gloss black machined aluminum wheel inside the most aggressive tire in the lineup.

The AT4X takes the same 18 inch diameter and goes darker and tougher: a gloss black machine finish aluminum wheel tucked inside noticeably taller, more aggressive all-terrain tires. In the configurator renders, the AT4X’s tire visibly dwarfs the AT4’s. It is the most purposeful wheel-and-tire package in the lineup, standard.

Denali and Denali Ultimate: Where the Money Shows

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali in Dark Ridge Metallic with standard 20 inch Pearl Nickel aluminum wheels
The Denali’s standard rolling stock is a bright 20 inch Pearl Nickel aluminum wheel.

The Denali’s standard wheel is a 20 inch multi-spoke design in Pearl Nickel Aluminum, a bright, silvery finish that reads more upscale than machined two-tone. Small aside for fellow detail obsessives: GMC’s own configurator spells it “Pearl Nickle.” We assume the wheels themselves passed quality control.

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate in Dark Ridge Metallic with standard 22 inch diamond cut aluminum wheels with Dark Android accents
The Denali Ultimate’s 22 inch diamond cut aluminum wheels are the largest standard wheel on the 2027 Sierra 1500.

The Denali Ultimate gets the only 22s in the lineup: a diamond cut aluminum design with Dark Android accents, and the largest standard wheel on the 2027 Sierra 1500. Big polished faces, dark pockets, low profile rubber. It is the wheel equivalent of the full-width grille lighting: you will not mistake it for anything below it in the range.

What’s Still Coming

Remember, this is only chapter one of the wheel story. Every generation of Sierra has offered optional wheels within trims plus a catalog of LPO accessory wheels installed at the dealer, and there is no reason to expect 2027 to be different. When the order guide and accessory catalog drop, we will break down the full wheel roster with RPO codes and pricing. Between now and then, the configurator’s one-wheel-per-trim view is the baseline every option will be measured against.
