if the rear steering gear does go out...then what can they do?

I just bought a 2005 1500hd with quadrasteer about a month ago. Reading other forums I was under the impression that ever 15,000 miles I should take that in to get looked at, adjusted, whatever... Exactly what needs to be done with it? I contacted my local GM dealership and they have only worked on 1 before...should I be concerned with this? approx how much should this cost...
