  1. Useless all right... I posted on here once...told the OP to eliminate the 4.8 ,6.0, and 6.2 off the list This thread was intended for 5.3 AFM engines ...my post to help this thread was deleted...
  2. This has nothing to do at all with ABS/trac control etc The problem is this...you have a severe engine misfire. When the pcm recognizes your truck is not firing on all 8 cylinders, you go into a limp-mode. ABS,trac control, stabilitrak is DISABLED because of the misfire. Also your remote start is inop because of the dtc's in your pcm Get your engine fixed...then all other systems will return to normal. What really sucks for you now is that you can't retrieve codes...so you are stuck.
  3. 2 more things to check see if your cylinder #7 exhaust bolt broke off. these exhaust manifold bolts are prone to shearing off. take a look at the driver side exhaust manifold-to-cyl head bolts, closest to the firewall if that's ok, then you may have a leaking exhaust downpipe donut seal. we had a few in the shop awhile ago.
  4. OK...looked for TSB's and found some info 1. Have you had your brake booster OR brake master cylinder worked on lately?? If YES, then there is most likely a torn vacuum o-ring seal between the master and the booster, causing a vacuum leak and the dtc's to appear. 2. Possible cracked PCV pipe. An un-metered vacuum leak will cause the dtc's to appear. 3. If the SES light comes on, then the SERVICE STABILITRAK comes on, that means the PCM is turning off Stabilitrak as a cautionary measure.
  5. Need to know Classic Body Style or New Body Style...
  6. One of 2 things. Faulty actuator on top of the front diff is worn out. Or Bad vacuum switch on top of the transfer case. Try the actuator first...85% of the time it is the fix. If no 4x4 after the actuator, repl the vacuum switch
