  1. Finally gave my truck a much needed bath
  2. Took a trip to San Antonio and rolled over 20k.
  3. I had one on my truck and it only lasted a few months before it shit the bed.
  4. Nothing major done today. Took the grille out and adjusted the lightbar up a tad. I need to mount my pods under the rear bumper but I don't have the motivation to do all the wiring lol.
  5. Use a pick or something small and you can pop out the center piece. Once that piece is gone there are 2 small screws and some clips holding the rest of it in place.
  6. I installed the Sierra spec hid kit from the retrofit source. Its nice to have hids again I forgot how bad the stock bulbs are.
  7. The wiring wasn't bad at all. The wires go to the battery across the firewall and into the cab. Once inside up the A-pillar and across the headliner. Here is where I mounted the switch: For the fogs you have to pull the factory light out and cut the mounting pocket out so the Rigids will fit. The lights bolt up the brackets that sandwhich the plastic that is there. Here is a thread on them: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/166366-anyone-have-rigid-fog-light-install-kit-and-duallyd2-lights/?hl=rigid No I haven't taken any pics of the light output yet. My light bar is a 30" Curved from Totron. Here is his for sale thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/169005-201415-silverado-sierra-light-bar-mounting-brackets/?hl=colton_m
  8. The giggle is due to the amount of light it puts out. I have the same light bar as the other truck, mine is lower because I didnt drill into the angle supports. I used a set of brackets that a member on here makes colton_m. The fogs are a set of Rigid Industries D2 Duallys with their mounting brackets. Install only took maybe an hour.
  9. Do it you wont be let down. I still get a giggle when I turn it on.
  10. I haven't noticed any affect on mine.
  11. They wouldnt turn on. They came back on this morning on the way home so idk what happened to cause the fail. This is the only issue I have had with them since I installed them. I have the DDM 55w kit with the wiring harness. Edit: Tried them again last night and they are dead again. Pulled the whole kit out of the truck and put the stockers back in until the new stuff arrives. On both of the hid bulbs there was some corrosion on the middle of the bulbs all the way around. I have never seen that before so who knows.
  12. Well thanks to that fun storm that came thru last night I lost my headlights. Everything else is functional except for lows and highs. Looks like its time to go buy another hid kit.
  13. Didnt do anything fancy but put another 1200 miles on her driving from Cali back to Texas. 16.5 straight hours and not a single issue. Love this truck
  14. This is where I placed mine
  15. Drove mine 1276 miles from Texas to San Diego. I had the cruise set to 80 for about 90% of the way and averaged 17.3 mpg.
  16. I swapped out the pods on my hood brackets. I had the driving pattern and I swapped them out for a set of the hyperspot pattern. I think I'm going to move the others to under my rear bumper as reverse lights.
  17. I have a Totron brand bar and it has been flawless so far.
  18. You shouldn't have any issues with rub with that size. That's a really good price you got them for.
  19. Got my tow mirrors back from the body shop today after having them color match the chrome. Hopefully the weather is nice tomorrow so I can finally install them.
  20. I have tried twice to get this mod to work so that the leds on tow mirrors will turn on. I can not get that puddle light to turn on tho
  21. I had to put my Corsa exhaust back together. Somehow the front pipe that goes into the muffler became disconnected and the pipe and muffler were offset from one another. I need to get the system welded so I do not have to deal with that again.
  22. Finally finished the wiring for my hood lights. Now the waiting till night to go for a drive and see how they perform.
  23. Got them hooked up and wired and they are freaking bright.
  24. Bolted on the hood hinge light bracket and they fit amazingly. I temporarily bolted on the Rigid pods to see how they look and I am very happy with the look of the lights. Its way too damn hot and humid today to actually mount and wire them in. I really wish I had a garage or carport at times like this.
  25. I will have to take some updated pics of mine in the next couple days as long as the weather is decent
