  1. At first I wanted my money back and they said no, only replacement. Then I said I'll wait for a 2016 and they said no, you have to pick a 2015 in stock. So I picked one that cost more than the first one, with no cost to me. Now with almost a thousand miles on it (knock on wood) it hasn't had any issues.
  2. Both of mine have GU5. I had roof panel re-glue and complete rear replacement and still had the same issues.
  3. Cleanfreak. I'm on my second Yukon Denali since March 3rd. The first one had all the usual problems, one of them being the rear end. When you say incorrect install of the rear end I suppose you mean the ring and pinion gears. The dealer changed my gears also, it did not fix the vibrating. They then had an entire rear, rotor to rotor from the factory shipped to them and installed it. It did not fix the problem. After two months they bought back that vehicle and they told me to come down and pick out another one. I now have about eight hundred miles on the new one and so far no problems. I don't know about certified used but you should call GM executive office 855-435-7284 to start a case. You will need your service manager, GM district manager to get involved once you have a case going. Being patient with them helps, even though sometimes that's hard to do. Did you do a carfax on the vehicle or find out if it was a buyback? Good luck!
  4. Jason Denali, thanks. I really like the vehicle and the way GM and my dealer handled the whole process. They also gave me a letter stating they will replace this new vehicle with another if I have the same issues. I know this doesn't define what the problems with these trucks are but I hope they find out soon.
  5. Jasondenali, similar to your experience I am on my second 2015 Denali xl. I bought the first one March 2 2015 with a build date of 2-13-15 and got into the one I have now on June 3rd,with a build date mid March. The first one was fine until about 300 miles then the earaches, headaches and just feeling lousy everytime I drove it started. I had to wear ear plugs all the time in it. Went thru the whole service thing, pit5318,ring and pinion, to them changing the entire rear from rotor to rotor and nothing fixed it. After two months in service they took it back. The GM rep and my dealer were great and made the whole process of swapping the vehicles easy without any cost to me at all. Getting in touch with the GM Executive Office and starting a case also helped and then it went to the repurchase dept .I only have about 600 miles on the new one and so far no problems(fingers crossed). I wish anyone going thru this good luck.
  6. Bamamike, what part of the country are you in? Here in NY every dealer I ask about this issue say they never heard of it. I put in an order for a 2015 Suburban back in November and it still has not come in so I just cancelled it. I'll wait and see what happens.
  7. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. I hope the new year brings resolution to everyone having this problem.
  8. Bravo, we need cooler heads to prevail and stick together on this issue. The last thing we need is for this thread to be locked. I am buying a 2015i Suburban for family trips and to transport my grandchildren around and don't need anyone getting sick or feeling uncomfortable. Anon2015 thanks for your knowledge on acoustics.
  9. When did you take delivery and when did you first notice problems? I haven't seen too much about Suburbans on this topic, I'm going to read all 400 posts today but I guess it doesn't matter which model you get, they all have a chance to have problems. I ordered a 2015i LTZ, Sable, Texas package, max trailer option, roof cross bars, 22 in wheels, cocoa/mahogany interior. No sun roof. I expect to see it sometime late Jan or Feb. I'm going to need a 24 hr test of it before buying like someone else mentioned. I hope that by then they figured out what's going on, if not my only other choice is an Expedition and I don't know much about them.
  10. Is anyone having any of these problems with Suburbans? It is basically the same vehicle. Is anyone having any of these problems with Suburbans? It is basically the same vehicle.
  11. Well, that's good news, glad it worked out for you. I wonder what GM did to fix it? I hope all the new ones are as good as the one you just got.
  12. Went back to the dealer where I ordered my new Suburban and asked to take out another 2015 Suburban LTZ that was built in Aug 2014. The salesman handed me the keys and said take your time. I drove it 52 miles and didn't have a pressure in my ears feeling. What I did feel I can only describe as harmonics at certain rpm's and speed that might be annoying on a long trip. I didn't take note of what they were as I was more concerned with the ear pressure or noise in cabin. It drove nice but feels a bit underpowered, wish at least it had an 8 speed trans or a 6.0 or the 6.2. I'm going to test a Denali next.
  13. Dealer where I ordered mine says the same, first they have heard of this. My order should be in at the end of Jan or sometime in Feb and I don't know what to do either. Your 24 hr test drive is a great idea but I want to do it with the one I ordered.
  14. Was feeling good after ordering a 2015 Suburban on Nov 19th,then I found this forum and really don't know what to do. I informed the dealer about this forum and especially this topic and they say no problems on their end. I'm going back to take a much longer test drive to see how I feel during and after it. Anyone else waiting on a new order?
