I have the same issue the wax will come off with your nail and the frame will rust away as its bare metal under that crappy wax they have on frame there really is no fix other than you scrapping most of that wax off and priming and painting the frame which in order to do properly you would have to remove the bed and cab of truck.i spoke to gm the first time regarding this issue and was told there is none.talked to them today about other issues and was told yeah we are aware of some of the wax falling off in places.go look at a deal ship at the trucks and you will see that the frames are rusty in places even before they are sold.my solution to this and the host of other issues I'm having with my rusty death wish machine is to get rid of this truck and never buy gm again.pretty sad when you pay over 50000 for a new truck and the frame is gonna rust away because gm is too cheap to put paint on the frames of their trucks
