  1. Thanks, page 196 says the plug should have green/yellow strip (x2) and a black which mine does have, but i dont know if they are in the correct locations on the plug, thats why i need the pinouts. Going to be tough to crawl up under there with a multi meter and see which plugs are live.
  2. 2014 Silverado LT V6 Does anyone know where i can acquire the pinouts for the wire harness on the rear bumper? I bought a new bumper, plugged in the harness and my plate lights are not getting power. All other lights work fine, as do the trailer plugs (except for the plate light). Already checked fuses so my next guess is the bumper i got has pinouts for a different model/year.
  3. New transmission cooler lines were 90 bucks, both of the lines come together as one part which i guess is good as i wont have to worry about the other line failing since the first one did. Would have been covered under warranty up to 36k miles or something like that, but because i have 50k i am out of that range of the warranty and they wont cover it. Unless some special dealer tools are needed will be dropping off at trusted friend who is a mechanic to install for me. How does these lines connect at the engine block?
  4. So, i went back today and they made a note of the whole mess, and are going to take it in later to cleanup the oil they got everywhere and replace the bolt on the skid plate they left out. I already have a apt. booked with the dealer the truck was originally purchased from, and they said all recall work is up to date but will look at the leaking line when i bring it in. The ONLY reason this truck even went to a dealer was to get my free oil and be on my way, i do all my own work on my cars and now that i know they cant do a ****ing oil change, i am never bringing or buying a car there again. I agree its dirty as hell and i too am shocked by the amount of rust on the vehicle already. I got it in the winter so i have not had a chance to clean stuff up in there yet. I already bought some rubber frame spray for the places the crappy GM coating is flaking off. I will also probably cover alot of stuff in grease to prevent rust, they salt and sand like crazy up here so you pretty much just have to accept the rust and do your best to prevent it. I dont plan on having this truck forever anyway so when it turns into a rust bucket it wont be my problem to deal with. Yet another post showing why you should never trust your dealer and check the work they claim to have done! Just makes me wonder how many poor suckers they take advantage of and are stealing from.
  5. about 50k, i called dealer last night and they said oil lines were covered but trans were not. I guess i should at least bring it in for them to check, worst they say is its not covered. I bought it used with about 40k on the clock, and dont abuse it or town anything, all easy driving with mix of backroad and highway driving. I do take it on dirt roads now and then but not much since its still winter.
  6. How much am i looking at? Do i need special tools or can i get this done in my driveway? Thanks!
  7. There are 2 lines going to the radiator on the passenger side, one connects on the top side and one of the bottom of radiator. Looks like the bottom one is leaking, which line is that for trans or engine oil?
  8. On the phone with dealer now, they said the recall was already done for that part. Can anyone tell me what the part numbers are for these hoses? The seem to connect to the radiator on the passenger side of the truck, then connect down on the front bottom side of the engine block. Edit - Just got off phone, she said the oil lines were covered under power train but the trans were not, bringing her in this weekend to get it looked at unless i identify the line before then and replace myself if its not the oil one which would be under warranty.
  9. Its a Jeep dealership and this was a trade in there, so i was just getting my free oil and then doing everything myself after that. I will be sure to point out the recall to them and try and get that fixed, then never step foot in there again.
  10. Its not a chevy dealer so i am fine with the other brand filter, its the fact they left oil around which stinks like you said. I am also pissed about the leaking line they clearly identified and hid. I remember which bay they pulled my truck into, if there was no lift, i can pretty much be sure they didnt rotate the tires.
  11. So i just had my truck into the dealer yesterday for an oil change since i get 3 free ones and didnt want to pass it up. I was suspicious that they did not rotate my tires because the fronts were still extremely dirty, but i said **** it next time i go down i will make sure they do it. After checking their work today, i am going back and chewing them out. There was oil dripped all under the hood which they did a half ass job wiping up, and the bottom scrape plate under the truck was all covered too because the lazy ****ers just let it drain all over it instead of removing the cover. I also found a leak in the front which appears to be going to lines in my radiator, should be a simple fix? The **** didnt put the bolt back in on that side of the cover, and you can clearly tell its leaking all over yet they told me my truck was A-OK and gave me the papwork to prove it. It took me 2 seconds to spot the leak as soon as i looked under the truck there is no way they missed it. I will let you know how it goes when i go back and read them the riot act. In the meantime, can i just get new hose lines and install these myself, looks like an easy fix?
  12. Glad i am not the only one who notices the V4 shudders. Must be an "issue" on all of them.
  13. I will give this a shot and report back with my findings as well. I typically get 15-18mpg so if there is a noticeable swing i will let you know. It's only gas guys, give it a shot and report back. I will give this a shot and report back with my findings as well. I typically get 15-18mpg so if there is a noticeable swing i will let you know.
