  1. 2017 Sierra 1500 SLT with Tow package. 25,000km. Truck has a clunk noise when hoping a curb or driving slow on bumpy roads. Brough it for same issue about 8000km ago. They asked if I had the truck rust proofed. Which I had. They claimed they needed to lubricate an area. I didn’t ask where at the time and it did not state on the work order. Clunk was gone. Now it’s coming back. Anyone know where it’s coming from? Definitely rear end area. What is bothering me is lubricant is obviously only a bandaid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Same tire and rims that I used on my 2007 sierra - never an issue. Put the tires (after a balance) on the 2017 - no issues until the weather got cold and no there was no snow or ice on the tires. Weirdest thing ever. Just waiting for the cold weather to come back to re-assess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. No ice / snow present. Simply cold weather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Curious to know if anyone else has experienced a truck shake in colder temps. I have not experienced any “chevy” shake so far with the factory set-up. Had dealer balance and put on my winter tires as it was already in the shop for tranny and rear camera programming. I have had this tire package for 7-8 years as I had them for my 2007 sierra - never an issue. Took it out for a test drive on the hwy to approx 75mph or 125-130 immediately after install and there was no real noticeable bad shake. Wife uses the truck during the week so I didn’t drive it much. This past weekend I used it, weather was much colder -15 C and The truck had a violent shake at times but only started at 60 mph and worse as speeds increased. Then other times the shake was there but not as violent. Puzzling. Today it is 15C (not cold) and took the truck out and it runs just fine all the way up to 80mph. Was about to call the dealership but now will wait for cold weather again to see how it runs. Very Odd. Anyone else experiencing this??? . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. I have the same truck, same set-up. My truck made the same noise when I picked it up from the dealer. I figured they gave me 50$ of reg gas.... yep. Topped up the tank with 93 it got better instantly. Next fill -100%. I don't always get a chance to put 93 but no pinging with 91 Octane. It's a 6.2 lt. giver what she needs. Fyi - you'll likely get better gas mileage. Just FYI - I kicked a 5.0lt 2017 Ford last weekend and I was pulling a heavier boat. He put $60 regular and my 6.2 took $46 same distance.... he didn't talk much about his Ford rest of the weeken!!! I'm Actually impressed with the gas mileage for a 6.2. and It never stressed me out when I bought it. Who buys / drives a new truck and then comments they can't afford the gas...??? Sorry had to be said. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Well y'all were 100% accurate. Took it for a 25 mile journey. No change in shake. For hom put the old spare set on and shake gone! In 14 years of storing this boat same place same way I have never had this issue. Thanks all for your input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Haha. Ya no tires aren't 14 years old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Are you a GM mechanic? Have you heard if 2017's are experiencing the same issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The whole cab of the truck. I could feel it on my chest, legs, etx... wasn't specifically in the steering wheel or pedals or shifter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'll take it back out shortly, run it for 25-30 miles to get the tires warmed up and see what happens. If it still shakes I'll borrow buddies truck and te-try. Hope is just the tires. Had the boat and trailer for 14 years now and this has never occured... interesting. Let y'all know. Thx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Trouble agreeing with that one. Has never ever happened with any other truck and that boat would have to shake like a bitch to be able to shake the truck like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Funny enough started getting a hard shift when doenshifting into 1st last couple days...!!! Not always but consistent enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
