  1. I thought of doing something like that. Then I looked under the bumper and said eff it.. Too much work.. LOL.. I also wanted to ensure I had clearance for the suspension to articulate when going off road..
  2. Here is a little different angle. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  3. Agree with the comments. More offset would help clearance.. and stock wheel offset is +44. After running these for a few days I am happy with them and I know I will be able to go off road and let the suspension articulate without rubbing. Also, want to have room to run snow chains or cables if needed.
  4. Yes, I installed everything myself, Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk
  5. Just sharing some info.. Installed a cognito level lift with upper control arms, keys, and shock extensions. Lifted the front 2.5" Wheels 17x9 with 0 offset Tried installing 315/70R17s and they rubbed all kinds of spots on the right side. Back of metal bumper, plastic air dam under bumper, and plastic/felt wheel well. 285/75r17 barely cleared the bumper but hit the wheel well and would have rubbed bad when off roading. Downsized to 285/70r17 and they fit great. Here is a pic with the 315s (bottom) and the 285s (Top) Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. The cognito spacers were legit.. but pricey. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. Installed a kenwood tm-v71a into the 2018 LTZ. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Mounted the remote head in the card holder area. Did some trimming of the rubber insert to set in the head. Used the kenwood remote mount kit to stick the bracket to the console under the rubber card holder. Wires run under the console to under the passenger seat. The radio is under the passenger seat. Power is supplied by direct connection to the battery. I routed the mic cable through a hole I drilled in the access panel at the bottom of the console. The mic will be stowed in the console until I want to use it. Then I can pull it out and route the cable through the notch and close the console on it. I also installed a remote speaker at the front of the passenger seat. The antenna is mounted on a bracket I made that fits in the stake pocket. Wire runs in through the vent and makes it's way under the to the radio under the passenger seat. Cheers! 8. Rides pretty nice. Handles bigger hits way better than stock. I think the droop travel is longer. The backside of speedbumps were pretty brutal stock. Now they feel pretty mild. I can maybe feel a little more of the road due to the increased spring tension but it's not bad at all. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Ordered direct. Smooth as can be. Just call and give vehicle, parts, payment info and it was at my door in 2 days. Don't bother trying to process online because they want to call and verify fitment before charging and shipping. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  11. Wow.. I came to the determination that it was all standard. LOL. Either way, I got the kit in. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. Ok. Trying to get a level kit on. None of my tools fit the large bolts/nuts. Also, seems to be metric??? Headed to store so fast advice welcomed. Need sizes for UCA bolts, upper shock mounts, torsion keys. 2018 Silverado 2500 HD. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. CB radio

Thanks for posting. I think I got my placement sorted. Waiting for some parts. Also fabricated this antenna mount this evening. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. CB radio

I have a Kenwood TM-V71a.. So far it looks like the best location is going to be near the card holder at the front of the console.. I might have to fab up a custom bracket or something.
  15. CB radio

Thanks for posting.. I just got a new 2018 2500 hd ltz and need to get my ham radio installed.. It has a remote face so I can put the unit under a seat or something.. this post will help me sort out the wire routing and placement.. Cheers!
