  1. I would love some help. I don't have any experience taking apart a dash like this. Can you tell we where to start? I have pry tools but don't know where to pry first. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
  2. Hahaha, I truly hope I can be like you one day. Changing oil in Audi’s and taking apart dashes. You are my idol.
  3. That’s why I prefaced my statement with “in my opinion.”. Congratulations on changing the oil in your wife’s Audi. You are a big man and I’m very proud of you.
  4. Absolutely. Part number is 84201626. It has a brand new lens on it as well. If anyone would like it PM me and we can talk about a reasonable price.
  5. Well, and this is just my opinion, but I don’t think it worth doing on a Yukon. It’s a way more involved job than doing it on a Sierra and you are taking things apart that probably shouldn’t be taken apart unless they absolutely have to be. If you look at the install on this you essenatally have to remove the entire trim of the driver side (cup holders, starter, air vents, everything) just to make this happen. I wish I would have seen that install document beforehand, but live and learn. It also raises the question of anything going wrong with it. It’s not like I could just pop the old one back in like you can do on a truck and I highly doubt a dealer is going to honor any type of malfunction of the electrical with this installed. My plan was to remove it if it needed to go to a dealer and then put it back in. This obviously won’t work for that. Again, this is all on me because I thought it would be the same as it was on a truck and I should have investigated more. Thanks everyone for all of the help but there is no way I’m paying more money for someone to do this and risk damage to my vehicle because of how involved this installation is. I’m going to cut my losses and see if I can make some money back on eBay. Edit: Also thanks to White Auto and Media for the quick turnaround time. Great service.
  6. Thank you very much. It does seem pretty involved. I’d very much like to get it done. The problem is that I have no idea who would even do this type of thing. I’m assuming a dealer wouldn’t do it do to it not being a part actually for my vehicle.
  7. Wow, thank you for that. There is no way I’m going through that entire process just to change the cluster. Taking the entire plastic trim off the vehicle is not what I had in mind when I decided to do this. I thought it would be a 15 minute swap out from what I saw in the videos. Appreciate all the help, the Yukon swap won’t be happening.
  8. I certainly appreciate the help. There is one large panel that stretches the entire length of the driver seat. It’s the photo I posted above. I’m not sure if it would need to be removed as its not a smaller piece like I’ve seen in the truck videos. This piece literally stretches from the door to the middle console. So there were two bolts holding the plastic piece in on the outside of the cluster?
  9. Has anyone tried this on a Yukon by any chance? I feel like I've wasted a whole heap of money here which is admittedly my fault. I don't think these Yukon clusters are as easy to remove as the Sierra clusters. I've removed the visor and bolts but the plastic piece that sits over the top of the cluster does not want to come out. Its going to break if I pull on it any harder I fear. Oh well, hopefully I can get someone to purchase this off of eBay and I won't be out as much money as I am now. White Auto and Media was great and I got $100 back from the seller that was selling it new but was actually used so at least I got that. A word of warning, if you are thinking about doing this on a Yukon I don't recommend it.
  10. Last question, and I apologize in advance. The bottom portion of my vehicle is slightly different than the ones in the installation videos. Mine is all one giant piece. Would anyone know if this entire piece should be popped out? I don't want to damage anything but I don't see any other way to get to the cluster as some of is behind this large piece.
  11. Ohh ok. Jeez I have no clue on how to disconnect it.
  12. Is that what that is? No. I don’t have the controls for a heads up display anywhere. Do I need to unhook this before I can proceed?
  13. Question: My Cluster came back to me today from Chris and I went to install it. When I attempted to take the visor off I noticed it was attached to something. There is a cord attached to a little black box going into the visor that prevents me from removing it completely. Anybody have any idea what this is and what to do about it? I'm driving a 2017 Yukon SLT. Thanks!
  14. They all need programming. The difference is if it’s new and never used it’s $100 less for Chris to program it.
