I've been eyeing the leak thread. Do we know GM changed something with the assembly in the factory after mid October to fix the issue? Or is it just based on the trend of reports? I'm looking at a LT with the convenience package II so it would have the sliding rear window. It also has a November build date so I'm weary of moving forward with it. I was saying by the time the 2018s finally sell off we'd be a month or two away from when the 2020s come out of the factory. For example a dealership in the Scottsdale, AZ area still has 71 2018s. Not sure how long it would take them to clear out that inventory.
I can get $11,8000 off MSRP right now on a Silverado 2WD Crew cab LT w/ all-star, convenience 2, trailer brake controller and bed protection package. I think I'm going to hold off a few months for budgeting purposes, but I'm hoping in a few months I can at least get the same deal. Maybe when the 2018s are completely gone it will get better? But by then I'm assuming the 2020s will be rolling out of the factory or a month or two away. Just looking at one dealership in my market a 2018 LT is only $12.5k off MSRP without the lease loyalty offer, so is that the most we should expect on a 2019?
Yup I was adamant on the value of my trade-in but I should have had the mentality of yours to walk out if they take longer than 5 minutes. I had zero intention of buying that day. I just wanted to test drive a Silverado with the convenience package II. Luckily I have excellent credit so I can make whatever deal happen right away if I see the right numbers. Also found out on the trip my wife's educator discount limits the doc fee, so that's nice. My timeframe has always been to buy when the 20s come out and they dump 19s, but I was willing to see what they'd come up with.
I was at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale yesterday. Over email they offered $12k off MSRP on a 2WD crew cab LT with all-star and convenience package II if I had a trade-in. Initially they offered $1500 on my regular cab 2009 WT Silverado trade-in, but they eventually went up to my price point at $5k. They also had $2104 in dealer add-ons, but at the end only $395 was listed on the price sheet for the zaktek. I told them I needed until tomorrow to get everything squared away with family on my trade-in. They offered $6k on the trade-in at the end to try and get me to sign that day, but there was no way I could finalize. The directors of sales told me the deal was too nasty for them to do tomorrow. It was a slow day for them and that's why they wanted it that day. Not the most pleasant experience dealing with their upper management. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
So I've been considering the safety package I on an LT, which includes: Rear Cross Traffic Alert Front and Rear Park Assist Black recovery hooks Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert I know others in this thread have said the sensors are useless. Initially I was thinking it would be useful to have the blind spot, cross rear traffic alert and the front park assist. But after reading the feedback I'm having second thoughts. Does anyone find it extremely useful? There aren't many LT's with the safety package I and now I'm thinking it might be better to put that money towards the convenience package II.
Ya I generally refuse to pay for add-ons. The truck I'm eyeing with this dealer would need to do a dealer trade for it, so the other dealership is the one that installed everything. Not sure if the dealer I'm working with would generally put add-ons on their vehicles. Its all annoying. I also hate all of these conditional offers and crap. Autonation listed some $6k off MSRP as "Autonation savings" with no asterisks or annotation, but when I contacted them I only qualified for $5k of it because the vehicle I am trading in doesn't have low enough miles. Ordering my 2011 camaro w/ supplier was much easier back when they were new and hot. I also bought two new Honda pilots in the past two years because of a total and I never saw this level of BS with conditional offers from the Honda dealerships.
What's funny is two other dealers I've been talking to have around $1700 in add-ons installed. One just agreed to $12k off MSRP on a CC LT 2WD w/ all-star and safety package I if I do a trade-in. I already told them via email I'm only paying $200 tops on the add-ons, so I'm not sure if they remember that tidbit. This'll be interesting. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
Do you mind me asking what amount you got off MSRP? Without negotiating they gave me a price sheet of $34650 w/ tint on $45575 MSRP. $399 for tint seems excessive to me. Ideally I'd try to get them down to $12k off MSRP. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
... Back to incentives talk. In the Phoenix market I've been offered about $11250 off MSRP. Unfortunately they all have add-ons ranging from $400-$1700 which kills it for me. I'm trying for $12k off MRSP. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
