  1. Ya they put me in an equinox, but I returned it today while I wait for a headliner to be delivered.
  2. So they'll be waiting on a headliner and kept you in the courtesy car? While I'm waiting on a headliner I am driving my truck. Considering you bought through Van, which is in higher end Scottsdale, I'm surprised they stuck you in a Trax. I just came back from my attempted headliner cleaner. My service rep initially called yesterday saying it came out great, but he checked it out this morning and noticed the stain was still there and went ahead and ordered a new headliner. I appreciate that he was proactive on his end about moving forward with a new headliner. He said it should be here in 3-5 days. A head guy/director mentioned that GM would probably not reimburse them for the new headliner and installation. I thought that was odd and doesn't seem right.
  3. Ya some director and head foreman checked it out after pointing it out to my service advisor. I'm trying to keep cool about everything. Ill raise hell if things go sideways. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  4. Went to pickup my truck today after they sealed the spoiler. They used a black colored sealant and left some residue on the top of the rear window. But looks like they didn't even attempt to clean the headliner. I left it with them to see if they can remove the stain. I was upfront with the service advisor that if the headliner wasn't perfect that I would ask them to submit for a replacement through GM. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  5. So I dropped off my truck this morning. I just received a phone call that it is only a bad seal on the rear window. I asked about cracks on the window or window frame or if the seal is bad on the spoiler and he said no to all of the above. I'm not sure if anyone else has received this diagnosis, but I will definitely be dousing it once I bring it home.
  6. Should everyone be opening a case? I figured I wouldn't unless I had a long repair time.
  7. Wow, I'm assuming the time consuming part of the caulk job was getting in a headliner? I just dropped mine off at the dealer today. They put me in an equinox. I'm not going to be happy in it for long if it takes 5+ days.
  8. So from factory, I wonder if the sealant is applied by human or by machine? If there is no crack in the window, has anyone had success with reapplying sealant fixing the leak?
  9. Just brought it in to the service department. The rep mentioned pulling the spoiler and replacing the seal. He mentioned addressing the headliner at the same time.
  10. Just rained here in AZ. It held up on previous rains, but now I'm joining the club. 02/19 Mexico build Vitro window Ugh Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  11. Bought a LT crew cab w/ all-star, convenience package II, safety package I, factory bed liner MSRP $48135. Got $12.7k off. During negotiations they decided to give an extra $1k for my trade-in. It was $1k more than I thought I could get for it, so I'm pretty happy with the deal. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  12. Do you happen to know your build date? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  13. The Phoenix market must not just be as aggressive. Even 2018 LTs in Phoenix are only $13.7k off MSRP if you don't take into account the lease loyalty offer. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  14. Next week I'm planning on purchasing a 2019 Silverado crew cab 2WD all-star edition w/ factory bed liner and convenience package II MSRP $46695 and we've agreed to $12700 off. There's $200 for tint but I'm going to try and see what I can do to get that removed. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  15. 2019 or 2018? 2019 it doesn't seem possible for them to be that low. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  16. That's an amazing deal. $13825 off MSRP. Here I was thinking $12k off was good. Did you qualify for any conditional offers like lease loyalty? Which dealership? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  17. Check the Phoenix market, maybe Vegas? https://www.courtesychev.com/VehicleDetails/new-2019-Chevrolet-Silverado_1500-Crew_Cab_Short_Box_4_Wheel_Drive_Custom_Trail_Boss-Phoenix-AZ/3421171383 Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  18. Does anyone know roughly when GM will announce the changes to the 2020s? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  19. Yup I was adamant on the value of my trade-in but I should have had the mentality of yours to walk out if they take longer than 5 minutes. I had zero intention of buying that day. I just wanted to test drive a Silverado with the convenience package II. Luckily I have excellent credit so I can make whatever deal happen right away if I see the right numbers. Also found out on the trip my wife's educator discount limits the doc fee, so that's nice. My timeframe has always been to buy when the 20s come out and they dump 19s, but I was willing to see what they'd come up with.
  20. I was at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale yesterday. Over email they offered $12k off MSRP on a 2WD crew cab LT with all-star and convenience package II if I had a trade-in. Initially they offered $1500 on my regular cab 2009 WT Silverado trade-in, but they eventually went up to my price point at $5k. They also had $2104 in dealer add-ons, but at the end only $395 was listed on the price sheet for the zaktek. I told them I needed until tomorrow to get everything squared away with family on my trade-in. They offered $6k on the trade-in at the end to try and get me to sign that day, but there was no way I could finalize. The directors of sales told me the deal was too nasty for them to do tomorrow. It was a slow day for them and that's why they wanted it that day. Not the most pleasant experience dealing with their upper management. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  21. Ya I generally refuse to pay for add-ons. The truck I'm eyeing with this dealer would need to do a dealer trade for it, so the other dealership is the one that installed everything. Not sure if the dealer I'm working with would generally put add-ons on their vehicles. Its all annoying. I also hate all of these conditional offers and crap. Autonation listed some $6k off MSRP as "Autonation savings" with no asterisks or annotation, but when I contacted them I only qualified for $5k of it because the vehicle I am trading in doesn't have low enough miles. Ordering my 2011 camaro w/ supplier was much easier back when they were new and hot. I also bought two new Honda pilots in the past two years because of a total and I never saw this level of BS with conditional offers from the Honda dealerships.
  22. What's funny is two other dealers I've been talking to have around $1700 in add-ons installed. One just agreed to $12k off MSRP on a CC LT 2WD w/ all-star and safety package I if I do a trade-in. I already told them via email I'm only paying $200 tops on the add-ons, so I'm not sure if they remember that tidbit. This'll be interesting. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  23. Do you mind me asking what amount you got off MSRP? Without negotiating they gave me a price sheet of $34650 w/ tint on $45575 MSRP. $399 for tint seems excessive to me. Ideally I'd try to get them down to $12k off MSRP. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  24. Which dealership did you go with?
  25. So one thing I neglected to ask, is the 20% off MSRP an out the door price?
