  1. I've thought about trading in for a diesel, but I really don't want to go through another 7 years of truck payments. Even if I would cut my fuel costs in half it would take many years to make up for the extra $40,000.00 or so that I pay out on a diesel.
  2. No, my CEL isn't on. The only time it comes on is when I use bad gas. And I know which gas stations to stay away from. Even when I use this stations' premium fuel my CEL comes on.
  3. Yeah I definitely intend to do a catback, and thanks for all the advice guys. I'll be checking a few things out.
  4. That's decent economy. My crew cab empty, not towing gets around 18L/100kms.
  5. Has anyone tried an exhaust system? I've researched and found out don't do anything with the exhaust except maybe a catback. Which will only give you better sound. Would anyone agree with this?
  6. I have almost 90,000 miles on it. I've run a few tanks of high octane fuel through it with no better results. I've come to accept that I'm stuck with a gas guzzler.
  7. Oh it's definitely worse in winter. Those were my summer numbers I posted. Winter numbers are high 30's. I've considered a ½ ton but I'm worried about how long a ½ ton would last towing something 95% of its life. Never the less, something to consider all the same. Thanks for the input.
  8. Hey everybody. So I've owned a 2013 2500hd 6.0 for around 5½ years from new. I tow a cargo trailer everyday with 6 ladders on the ladder racks which creates a lot of wind resistance, and right from the get go the fuel economy has been terrible, 28L/100km(8 mpg). On top of that it's been getting worse year to year, and I also feel like it's lost some power as well. What would be the best way to improve fuel economy? Should I do something to increase the power? Or would that give me even worse economy? Please help.
