  1. Yeah, it’s too bad. GM finally settled with me and bought the truck back. I had to get a lawyer though....
  2. What was the temperature out? The errors only happened for me in below freezing temps. Since the March 1st update, I have not had the trailer connected/disconnected issue. However, it is warmer now in CT and the below freezing temps are few and far between now. When there have been freezing temps, since the March 1st update, I am now having issues with the front park assist warning activating, seat vibration activating and front camera activating. NOTHING is in front or on the truck sensors. It did it EVERY time I stopped the truck on the way to work one morning. Again, this only happens in below freezing temps. Mine is currently at the dealer for the EIGHTH time, it has been there for THREE days now and is still there. The lawyer has now taken my case and has sent a demand letter to GM to buy back the truck. I’m happy you like your truck, but this makes me hate mine...
  3. So far, after the “fix”, I have not had anything else pop up other than the “Park Assist Off” warning, no light on the park assist button and nothing happening when I try to turn it back on by pressing the button. I will definitely be on the look out for any more issues. Called the 2nd lawyer back and they want me send them all the info including the videos I have taken with my phone. This will be the sixth time to the dealer for this problem. Got the appointment moved to tomorrow instead of next week. I’ll keep you posted....
  4. Nope truck is clean. Just cold as usual.
  5. I had the March 1sr “Fix” done on March 7th. Of course the day I get it done, it’s 68 degrees in CT. This morning (March 19th) it was 28 degrees when I left my house for work, I drove about 2 miles and the “Park Assist Off” warning came up on the instrument panel and the light on the park assist button went off. I pressed the button and it wouldn’t come back on. The other buttons work. I knew it!! STILL NOT FIXED GM!! I have ANOTHER appointment for next Week....
  6. Just got of the phone with the second attorney. I can’t believe it, but he said the same thing the first one did!! He said if they do this fix and it doesn’t work, to call him back...
  7. Something tells me a hardware fix will never come. The complaints will stop because nothing is popping up and that will be the end of it because they “fixed” it....??
  8. In CT Lemon Law is two years or 24,000 miles.....
  9. So now we get their “fix”. Temps in CT are going up (with the exception of the past few days), spring will be here and we’ll have to wait until next winter to see if it’s really works!! Just an update with the Lawyer. After sending his para legal all my info on the truck, repair invoices, sales paperwork, etc., he tells me he thinks I wouldn’t win because there is now supposedly a fix. I asked, even though beginning in November, it’s been there four times and all four time they could not fix it? (CT law is four times). He said he agreed with me, but now that there is a fix, he thinks the judge would side with them. However, he did say he doesn’t do much Lemon Law and referred me to another Lawyer saying the other lawyer is much more experienced in Lemon law and might disagree with him and to give him a call. I will give it a shot and call him tomorrow. If he agrees with the first lawyer, that really sucks!! It would be such B.S. if a dealer/manufacturer can just tell you they don’t have a fix and you are stuck to deal with it for MONTHS!!
  10. I don’t even see how this is even a software issue. This only happens in real cold temps. How do cold temps affect software or amps? This sounds like hardware issue. When its cold, things contract, when hot, they expand. It’s seems like a connection issue. When it gets real cold, a connection somewhere is probably contracting and squeezing the connection to screws with the contacts which send the signal wether or not a trailer is connected. When the temps are warmer, the connection expands to normal and the contacts are seated correctly again and we get no warning pop ups. This “fix” almost seems like they are disabling something in the software so the pop ups will stop popping up. This actually doesn’t fix anything, only hides the problem. Only my theory, but makes sense, no?
  11. Unfortunately, A manufacturer is never going to just buy you out. You will have to get a lawyer and press the issue under lemon law, if your particular case qualifies for it. I live in CT where the lemon law is two years or 24,000 miles. “A reasonable number of attempts to fix the same problem”, which I’m told is four. The “senior advisor” said they “never attempted” for fix it because there was no fix. Which is B.S. You can’t just tell someone it’s broke, we can’t fix it, wait MONTHS, too bad, so sad. They will lose in the end. They will eventually have to buy the truck back, minus some formula for mileage AND pay for my lawyer fees (part of the law). It doesn’t happen overnight, but it will happen. It’s really too bad. This is my first GMC, it’s a beautiful truck and I love it otherwise, but this has been a horrible experience!!
  12. Been watching this thread as I’m going threw this exact problem. Took the truck to the dealer four times starting in Novermber. Four times not fixed. Last week I called GM and told them I wanted them to buy back the truck. They told me a “Senior Advisor” would call me within 2-3 business days. Today, March 4th, (the 3rd business day) she called and told me “there is a fix as of March 1st”. I told her I don’t care, it qualifies under lemon law (CT), I still want them to buy the truck back and that there is no guarantee that this fix will even work. Then she tells me it doesn’t qualify for lemon law “with them”, “because there was no fix for the vehicle”. LMAO!! It’s not my problem or any customer’s problem that the four times it was brought there, they could not/had no fix for it. Now, when I say I want my money back, they suddenly have a fix!! I had already contacted an attorney. I just have to email him the sale paperwork. I told her I would tell my attorney to take my case. Too little, too late....
