  1. But can you use the step with a trailer attached? Would like to know. Thanks
  2. But let me add this. This forum is suppose to be informational for GM owners. I have learned a lot about my trucks on here. Trouble shooting and new products. I am only putting out info just like other owners. Different people like different things. What’s good for one truck owner might not be for the next guy. Heard complaints about the new tailgate and have come up with a solution and I’m sure there will be other options. Thanks for all of the feedback so far and look forward to hearing more.
  3. Let’s see, you have a $65000 truck with a $4000 tailgate and yiu have been looking at a $500 hitch and you are questioning a $299 device that will keep from damaging the tailgate. Which by the way will be on sale for $249 thru December.
  4. Install the Splitgate Overide by Tailgatefix.com. It will lock out the split gate so it can't be accidentally dropped while there is something in the receiver. It's pin activated and also has a manual version for those that want to use reciever covers that are held by the pin.
  5. A little background on our Tailgatefix that should hopefully be available by next week if not before. Our product is designed to override the switch and lock out the inner tailgate from being lowered if you have a hitch in the receiver. It’s designed to keep the inner gate from accidentally being lowered while there is something in the receiver. If you are looking for a product that lets you use the inner gate and step the only item I know of is a hitch that will drop down 6” or lower. That will only work on lifted trucks, it will not work on a standard truck as the hitch would drag the ground .
  6. Has anyone had a problem with the split gate not opening when the tailgate is down? Have seen this on a truck and also o an AT4 forum. Latches will click but won't release. Also heard someone say these trucks have 2 batteries, does anyone have info on that? Supposedly one for the gate and accessories, not the battery under the hood on the passenger side. Thanks, Jim
  7. What kind of details would you like? Product is finished, waiting on the manufacturer to get our stock up so that when people start placing orders they don't have to wait. Nobody including me wants To buy something and be told your order will be ready in 3 weeks. We want to put out a great product that our customs will be happy with. We know we all get some negative feed back just like we e getting from you but that's the nature of the beast. It's not a must buy its an option. It's an accessary like anything else. The nice thing about it is it will hopefully keep someone from accidentally missing up their tailgate, or better yet someone that is not familiar with the flaw messing up someones Tailgate. We have been told we should be ready by the 22nd if not sooner. hanks for your patience!
  8. I think its a good idea for a lifted truck, but from what I could tell you need a step ladder to be able to use the drop down step. Standard trucks the trailer will be dragging ground.
  9. We can ship you one whenever you are ready. Just need your Name and address. We Launched that site to let people know it was coming and to get on our list so we could ship when we had a complete stock. I have installed demos on trucks including my own 2019 Denali so we could get some feedback before a full launch. Yes, I am Co-Owner. Thanks, Jim
  10. Nate go to www.tailgatefix.com. Be sure to type in www.
  11. Guys there is a fix for the Tailgate. go to WWW.Tailgatefix.com. They have an automatic version as well as a manual one. It takes the worry out of denting up the tailgate.
  12. Nice Sierra! Go to Tailgatefix.com starting Friday. They have a fix to prevent denting the new 6 way tailgate if you have I hitch in the reciever.
