  1. Hi, I need some help or some direction with a transmission noise I am experiencing . Vehicle is a 2008 Silverado 2500hd with a 6L90 transmission .I am experiencing a strange noise when the transmission downshifts on acceleration (kickdown), the best way I can describe it is a very quick ratcheting type noise as soon as it shifts, the noise is only present for a split second and can be heard around the transmission area closer to the front ... possibly torque converter. I have dropped the pan to look for debris or clutch material but there was nothing and no excessive metal on the magnet. I have searched the internet / forums for answers but there doesn't seem to be anyone who has had a similar noise . I would appreciate any insight into the matter . Below is the link to a video I took of the sound . https://youtu.be/ctcitXBwmow

It doesn't happen all the time and it seems more frequent under light acceleration rather than heavy acceleration.
