  1. I recommend using headphones or listening to the clips connected to your truck radio. Listening with your phone doesn't do it justice. The first video is a cold start and the second has some light revving. If you want a loud exhaust this wouldnt be for you. I didnt want extremely loud cold starts that would wake my family and neighbors when I leave for work early in the morning.
  2. I wanted something louder than stock but not super loud. I wanted to increase flow. I didnt want to spend $1000 on an exhaust system. I didnt want drone or resonance and while there is some resonance its very little at part throttle and low speeds. You can always have the muffler shop tack the the muffler in and go for a quick test drive to verify its to your liking. If not it shouldnt be a big deal to add the flapper back in.
  3. New truck owner here. My 6.2LTZ Odometer just rolled 250 miles so I thought it was time for my first mod. Ive read alot of threads on exhausts and decided the best route for me was to replace the muffler. I bought a magnaflow 12909 and installed on my 6.2 last week and removed both flappers. My previous setup on my 08 6.0 Silverado was a bullet muffler and I did not want anything that loud. Im very pleased. Nice deep tone at idle, not super loud when cruising, sounds good at WOT and no drone. It does have a slight helicopter resonance on part throttle due to the DFM but its almost unnoticeable. There are vendors on ebay you can make an offer to. I offered $132 and it was accepted right off. One might be able to get it even cheaper. Normally Im a diy kinda guy but the local muffler shop was hurting for business with how everything is going currently so I decided to let them do it. $60 install and took about 30 minutes. They will have to install a small piece of pipe since the magnaflow overall length is less than stock. Hope this helps someone trying to decide.
