  1. Hey y'all. Traded for a 2020 RST 6.2 yesterday and I really like it. One drawback - nothing that has this much power should be this quiet. I had the GMPP exhaust (basically the Borla Touring) on my last Silverado and I really liked the balance. It had a nice rumble but I no drone on the highway. This time, I'm thinking about going a little louder with the S Type. But I want to make sure I can still live in peace in the cab. Anyone have experience with the S Type? Going to purchase through a vendor this time either way so I can get the really nice squared quad tips.
  2. Just wanted to pop in and say I pulled the trigger today on this deal! I'm happy with it. I'll post a thread tomorrow once I get it waxed and better pictures.
  3. I did! I'm picking it up tomorrow morning. A new thread will follow.
  4. Picking up my new truck tomorrow and the first thing to go has got to be the running boards. Not a fan, myself. They will be removed tomorrow or Saturday. MSRP is $750 and I will let them go for $700 obo. Local pick up preferred because of their size.
  5. Trading my truck tomorrow so the factory exhaust is going back on today. For sale will be the GMPP exhaust I've had on the truck for 2.5 years and around 45k miles. It's a side exit with black tips. This is essentially the Borla Touring system. Nice grumble on start-up and acceleration but completely drone-free on the highway. I really like this system and will probably repeat it on my 2020. I will post pics this evening. Paid $1200 new and will let it go for $700 obo.
  6. Thanks! I actually did try Carvana and their offer was within $100 of what the dealer is offering me on trade. And if I go that route, I don't get the trade in credit on sales tax. I'm not thrilled with the trade in value - thought it would be higher with all the COVID stuff. But I have had Carvana and two dealers quote me nearly the same thing so this is likely the market for it. I'm trading in an extended cab and they hold less value anyways. The quote I received today was: MRSP: $54,180 Dealer Fee: $130 Educator Discount: ($3,128) GM Discount ($3,500) GM Card Points ($1,500) Trade-In ($26,000) (2017 Silverado LT Z71 5.3 4x4 double cab, 65k miles) Total Financed: $21,721.82 after interest All in all doesn't seem like a terrible deal to me. My pride is hurt worse than my wallet since I thought mine was worth more haha. I'm still making payments on my Corvette and I didn't want to have two payments at once but I figure it'll be good to trade while the market is hot. I'm looking for a unicorn and they have it. I searched Chevy's inventory and it's, literally, the only one with the color and options I want within 2,000 miles. I thought about ordering a 2021 but I don't see the use in paying another $3,500 for wireless Android Auto while I watch my trade value drop. I told the salesman I would take a night and pray about it - I always try to before big purchases. Think I might just pull the trigger tomorrow.
  7. The only other thing I think I can stack on it my GM card points. I wanted something that's a bit of a unicorn so there may not be much room - we'll see. It's an RST, Z71, 6.2 double cab with Convenience I & II and cloth interior. I've been lightly searching for months before I finally came across one. I was going to wait for the new interior next fall but truck trades are hot right now so I might bite the bullet. The main thing I'm worried about is trade. My local dealer offered me 2k under KBB this week on another truck and I laughed all the way out the door. Hopefully this dealer will come in better than that.
  8. First post here and I'm in the market. Hoping to work out a deal on a 6.2 RST tomorrow. This thread has been super helpful. There are a lot of discounts I didn't know existed - one of which is the GM Educator Discount. I'm an accountant for a public school board and I qualify. You can stack it on top of any existing offer from GM. If they will give me a fair trade for my 2017 LT Z71 we'll be trading and I'll post my results here.
