I have a 2019 Silverado, V8 with Z71 package. This isn’t my first truck and I’ve always done a lot of my own maintenance. I used the dealer for the first few oil changes, but I crawled under it today and it’s clear then never removed the plug from either axle or the transfer case. Pretty frustrating to pay for services that aren’t done. Anyway, I want to do it myself. I know they eliminated the transmission dipstick on this truck...where is the plug to check it? Is there a drain and fill plug or just a fill? Same question for the transfer case and diffs? I assume the standard is fill to bottom of fill hole?

I am glad I’m not alone. My truck does that too. It only happens when the truck is cold. It shifts sloooooowly into D from R, then stutters from first to send and shifts super hard. I heard the issue was the type of fluid and the dealer was supposed to drain and flush the transmission and torque converter with different fluid. My dealer refused.
