  1. I went to a local junkyard and pulled an np261hd from an 02 silverado 3500 dually. It was a 32 spline unit off of a 4l80e. I brought it home earlier today and pulled my cadillac drive shafts and they fit into the np261hd, I pulled my transfer case out and there were no sensors anywhere on the unit. Its a locked awd t case and since the np261hd is a manual shift t case I went ahead and put my 6l80e extension housing on it and installed it into my cadillac. It is no longer awd and is now a manual shift 07 escalade esv, it had 2wd, 4low, and 4 hi. All I need is to mount the shifter and hook up the linkage. I put it in 2wd and drove it 40 miles and it worked out flawlessly, the factory driveshafts even fit.
  2. I have an 07 Cadillac Escalade Esv and it's got a texas speed cam, stainless long tubes, tuned on 93.. long story short my factory awd BW4485 (NR3 RPO) is about to go out and I would like to swap in either an MP1222 or a NP261HD. The MP1222 comes in 08-13 silverado 1500s with 6l80es, it is a manual floor shift unit which would be easy to make a linkage for. The MP1222 or RPO code NQG that I'll need if I'm correct is a 32 spline unit that would have came behind RPO code MYC or 6l80e transmission. I'm looking for any knowledge, if it can be done and what all I'll need to change. Thanks in advance
