Hey guy’s, new to the forums and new to owning a Chevy.
Do you guys have any recommendations for skid plates that can be purchased for an 04 Silverado 1500? I’d rather not make one if I don’t have to. I’d prefer it to be medium weight steel. Enough to take a hit but not this 3/8’ steel that weighed over 100lbs.
im hoping to use the stock bumper without the plastic underneath (see pic of planned mods). I have a welder which I used to modify a Jeep XJ bumper and skid plate from a ‘11 4Runner to fit my ‘98 Explorer. That was a pain in the arse though so I’d prefer not to do it again. I’m open to small modifications but I don’t have a pipe bender.
