  1. I have a 2001 4.3 with an intake manifold gasket leaking (pouring) coolant from right front. Directly under the heater hose connector. Already checked and verified it is the gasket. Was wondering if the intake manifold can be removed without removing the top half of the plenum?
  2. Could get some sand paper. Rough up the metal lines a little. Then get a flaring tool to make a lip before sliding hose over. Use 2 clamps on metal tube. The screws to tighten 180 across from each other. Or. A hydraulic shop should be able to make custom hoses to replace OEM.
  3. Buy or rent a radiator pressure tester. Follow directions. Could also be a cap that isn't holding pressure. Causing the tank to overflow a little when hot. But it is a closed system and should not have to be topped off unless there is an issue somewhere. They also make exhaust gas test fluid. Changes color if exhaust gas is present in coolant. A little goes a long way.
