So I initially had noise coming from the strut top nut; replaced that with the correct nut and that issue went away. I still also had a popping noise similar to what OP states; tightening the endlinks seemed to resolve it temporarily. At least in my case since I raised it 2", I opted for the longer AT4/TB endlinks. This rid of all popping noises entirely since the links now had clearance from the CV shafts when the steering wheel is at full lock. Hope this helps someone.
