Here's what I did to have 110V with the OEM look:
- Order switch part number 84581301
- Open outlet rear cover using thing tool like a screwdriver
- Remove electronic board from cover
- Run wires thru back cover. Use existing square holes or drill 3/8 hole.
- Crimp a flat connector to 100V wire from Inverter. The wire needs to be long enough and have a standard 110V plug. You'll need to plug it in the Inverter once installed. A generic 110V plug and proper electrical wire is good. here's a picture of the connector:
- Connect the 100V flat connectors to the 2 flat pins inside cover. See flat male connector here (pointed with a nail)
- Clip back cover to outlet with 110v wire running thru back cover.
- Install inverter under dash. Inverter needs to be well ventilated. Do not put inside glove box. I used a 500Watts inverter.
- Pass 110V plug thru outlet opening in console. Connect 110V plug in Inverter.
- Install 110V outlet in console opening.
- Connect the 12 volts inverter feed in fuse box on driver side. Use positive terminal in Ignition switch powered outlet. Install ground as well.
- Enjoy 110V.
