  1. For several weeks I have been searching the internet for posts and videos on how to correct/reset this version of GM's Infotainment. Typically, everynight, or when the truck sits for 8+? hours, when I start the truck everything is fine. I get the start up chimes, I get blinker sounds and the radio/bluetooth/CarPlay (both wired and wireless) produce sound. However during the day, sometimes as quickly as after my first 5 minute trip, once I shut the truck off and get back in, I have no sound for the rest of the day. I have checked the 2 passenger side fuses (INFO1 and INFO2), and the drivers side AMP fuse and they are fine (if they weren't, it could not repair itself every night). I have disconnected both batteries (Duramax Dual Batteries) negative terminal for 10 minutes to try and reset the system. I have tried things meant for newer Infotainment systems (Holding the hangup/mute button on steering wheel for 20 seconds (no reboot)) and gone through settings looking for "Start in Safe Mode" (does not exist in 8 inch system). In settings, I have reset to factory setup (losing the 4 trailer dimensions I painfully entered for the trailer towing package) as well as deleted my CarPlay phone connection and set that back up. Why every evening can this system repair itself, but quickly into my stops each day, I lose all audio for the remainder of the day. I hate to take it to the dealer and pay $200+ for them to diagnose. Hopefullyl someone knows of another or the correct way to "reset" this version of GM's infotainment system. Thanks!
  2. My problem is my High Country is a 2022. That means I have the old 8 inch (not 7 inch in low end models) screen, so the new hold the hangup/mute button for 10 seconds doesn't work (and I am out of warranty!) I have disconnected both negative battery leads (Duramax twin batteries) for 10 minutes. Checked 3 fuses (Info1 and Info2 on passenger side) and the AMP fuse (drivers side). I have reset to factory settings (2022 does not seem to have a "start in safe mode") so now I lost all the measurements I entered for the 4 trailers I pull and will have to reenter all those dimensions into the trailer towing package. I have a feeling and will get a new USB-C to USB-C cable that it may cause it as when I use WIRELESS Apple Car Play it does not happen as quickly. (only a guess at this point). If any one else knows how to do a full reset on a 2022, that would be great. I am hoping my AMP did not fail as I am on year 4 and 80K miles.
  3. This is a great thread and a long one (6 pages) so I hope I am not repeating a question already asked that I did not see. Why do the two extension cables need to be different? Is the connector for the outside vs. inside camera different on the cabling and socket? Maybe so that the workers on the assembly line can't plug them in backwards. I have read that these cables can run almost $100 for the 2 for the custom fabricator. I saw this cable on Amazon and it is a bit longer than 3' which might help. Can someone tell me if this will work for one (I guess I doubt both) cables? https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08JV7HDML/?coliid=I2OPCXNX7AFYCH&colid=TU6OJ75YHI3U&ref_=gv_ov_lig_pi_dp&th=1
