I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 and I noticed when I installed new rear shocks that lower shock mount wasn’t completely painted from the factory. Has anyone else encountered this with theirs? This is the only year truck I’ve owned that has been like this. I could be wrong, but won’t it start to rust there overtime especially those who live in snowy weather? I went to a dealership and looked at trucks on the lot and it was 50/50 with fully painted vs not. Chevy tried to tell that is normal. Has anyone run into problems with it rusting there?

When I had my 2017 Silverado, I had a full size spare. I had 20’s with 35’s. It fit perfectly underneath. The only thing I had to use was a hub centric ring for the spare tire hoist.
