  1. I have the PCV breather under the throttle body going to a catch can and then a drop hose from the catch can. I blocked off the intake manifold side of that the PCV goes to. I left both valve cover vents alone. I've had this setup for 75k miles
  2. The main issue is the "suction" from the intake. Block off the intake hose and route the exit hose from the catch can to the atmosphere (drop hose). You can leave the two on the valve covers alone You can always send your catch can collections to Blackstone if you want a detailed analysis.
  3. I used 3/8 transmission line (holds up better than fuel line)
  4. I was able to repair mine without removing them. A knockoff Dremel with a flexible shaft and small cutoff wheel did it quickly. Went with 3/8 transmission hose and fuel injector clamps. Took 45 minutes tops and no issues
  5. I didn't think of using those. I may go that route. That paired with transmission hose should hopefully get me through the life of the truck. I'm planning on doing this with everything mounted and not removing the original lines since the only leak is at the crimp
  6. Any update on this? Mine are starting to drip and I was going to do a fix using AN fittings and braided line but this looks much easier. After seeing this I may get some 1/2" transmission hose with some good hose clamps and do the same fix. My only concern is the sustained 35-50 psi with hot oil causing issues
  7. Update on this: rebuilt the 6l80 with a new pump, clutches, sonnax billet piston, zip kit, and billet housing TC. Also got a hptune that adjusted some shift timings/pressure, deactivated DOD, and TC now only locks up in 5/6 instead of all gears. I also installed a tru-cool 40k cooler as I didn't have a way to flush the factory one. Truck drives superb and hopefully will never have to go down this road again.
  8. In the process of removing my 6l80 for a rebuild, billet converter and the works. Couple questions of the removal and install. What is the torque spec for the flex plate to TC bolts? Are they one time TTY bolts or can I reuse them? I have the pill flipped but I'm putting in the bypass kit. I'm also going with Redline D6 fluid I'm open for any other suggestions, tips, or additional measures I should take doing this job.
  9. First posted in the troubleshooting forum but didn't get a response so hopefully I will here I have a P0326 code that keeps reappearing on my 2017 Silverado 5.3. I've cleared it twice but it's back again. There's no apparent knock or any irregularity so I'm assuming a bad sensor. I bout a new AC Delco sensor today for $26 and hoping to have time to install it this weekend. Does anyone know where this sensor is located? Code says it's on bank 1 Is this a common issue?
