  1. I called the dealer, the guy I spoke with couldn’t tell me either way if they could add the lights or not. I also asked if they could re-cal my speedo - which has proven to be difficult to get fixed after I changed my wheels. I think he actually expected me to drop it off and pay $185 an hour to “see” if they could do it, pretty disappointing. I have another dealer down the way I still need to call but if the past is any indication, I don’t expect much. I don’t know what a wag is but if it’s a $150 potential solution, lay it on me I’d love to try it. I’m tech savvy enough to plow through just about anything (read, YouTube university graduate, lol)
  2. Thank you. That’s what I was afraid of, I’ll call my local dealer and see what it will cost.
  3. I could use a little help getting my cargo bed lights to work - I made an assumption and I hope it will work out. I asked the Mrs to get me a set of cargo lamps (the ones that go either side of the tailgate in the bed) for Christmas. My 2500 is a WT package, so very few options. I assumed that since there were connectors AND I read 12vdc to ground that they would just work if I plugged them in. The cargo lamp over the back window works just fine and the manual says if you push the cargo lamp button 2x within 5 secs the ones at the rear of the bed should light - but no such luck. I’m opposed to any janky wiring solutions, so if it won’t work, I’ll just return the parts - but I sure would like to find a solution. Thanks in advance for the help.
  4. Oddly enough my truck has a factory drainplug at the back of the transmission, it allowed me to drain out about 2qts. Then since I'm a cheap SOB, I sucked out the rest with a shopvac, flexible tubing, and a 64 oz glass jar. It took a while and if I had to do it again I'd probably do it differently. Amsoil swears up and down their Pro Series cherry juice is compatible with just about everything.
  5. I just want to say to the OP, Epsilon Plus thank you for your concise instructions and part numbers. I was able to install my dipstick in less than 30 mins. I originally was looking into this because my transmission was clunking on downshift in my 2020 Silverado 2500 HD WT with a 6L-90. I use it to tow a fairly light 5th wheel and only have 16k miles on it. With so few miles, I wasn’t interested in a pan drop and filter replacement so soon. Adding the dipstick allowed me to suck out about 50% of the old fluid (5qts) and add some fancy cherry flavored juice from Amsoil. No more clunking and now shifts like butter. Thank you - Mike
