  1. Hey all..............4 months later and 182k miles. No issues, a/c still ice cold, nothing but a few oil changes and running fine!
  2. Hey All, Old member here now back in the game. I am in Fla. looking for a 4x4 s-10/sonoma and scored a 03 s-10 4x4 x-cab. Its clean as as a whistle inside and out and no rust like all the trucks back home in NY! Tough to find a 4x4 down here that aint been all cobbed up! Its a one owner truck with 165k on it! Fresh rebuilt tranny, good tires, full power and cold a/c! Grandpa bought a new full size chevy. Needs some steering work as the steering is sorta loose. 4x4 quiet and works good, no shimmies and no shakes either. Paid a measly $2000 for it! A nice rust free truck back home in NY cost twice that much! I guess we will see is she makes it back to NY with no issues!
  3. Its easier to unbolt the taillights and move them out of the way (because you can clearly see the space between the fender and liners) and blast the crud outta there !
  4. A friendly dealer reset my pressure range in my 07 2500 so I can run all my tires at 50 psi for a softer ride.................... The range for no ses or tpms warning light is 45-55 lbs.
  5. Google "silverado battery drain" 02066 DEC 02 Campaign - BCM Reprogramming for Battery Drain General Motors has decided that certain 2003 model year Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban; 2003 model year GMC Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL; and 2003 model year Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT, and Escalade ESV vehicles equipped with Quadrasteer (NYS), Autoride (Z55), or Vehicle Stability Enhancement/StabiliTrak (JL4) may have the potential of exhibiting a battery drain condition. An anomaly in the operation of the steering wheel position sensor may keep the Body Control Module (BCM) from shutting down when the key is in the OFF position. The resultant 3.5 amp draw/load on the battery could possibly discharge the battery to the point where the battery will not have sufficient amperage to start the vehicle. This is one of SEVERAL and various years. Same TSB for my 07!
  6. There are a couple TSBs out there for a battery drain issue on 03-07 GM fullsizers. My 07 had a BCM/PCM reprogram to cure this issue.
  7. Also note that certain year DRLs only turn on when truck is in gear. Can't remember when my 04s came on................
  8. AP-8 is the remote start prep. pkg................. IF your non factory equipped late model GM has the AP-8 code you can then buy the GM remote start kit/special code/remote from the dealer who then activates the remote start in your vehicle with the Tech 2 and special code. AP-3: 2-Way Advanced Remote Start - For Use on Vehicles With Remote Keyless Entry and Engine Start (AP3), Yes.................No?
  9. FROZEN...........You also have to remember: GM changed the wiring pin out in 03. If your using your old plug in or the same set up from your 01 it won't work with your 04 ! Got to use the old test light to verify !!!!!!!!!! Flasher module????............Hmmmmm Sorry about the delay in responding..........Just gor back from Vegas this AM !............geo How many days till plowing season?????
