look up 24-NA-261 GM service bulletin. That one is for 2024 models and will update to android 12. I had mine done at dealer. Free under warranty. (2024 silverado 1500 LT)

2024 LT 1500 here. I added footwell lights to BCM connector by adding a molex pin to the empty pin slot that GM has you use for the light up sill plates. It dims just like the dome lights do when turning off. Way easier to do, than the method this thread talks about. I also ran LED light in glovebox using same +12 volt supply line as with the footwells.

I would think the no windows all up feature via key fob is a safety thing. If someone has a body part in the window and someone puts up windows without being in the truck, it could cause injury. Yes, GM has to always be thinking about the stupid people and lawsuits.

I have the same speedo and RPM non appearing issue. I have found that if I wait till the infotainment center is longer into it's boot up sequence that it does not happen. But if I get in the truck and hit the start button just as the radio screen is booting up, I can get the issue to happen every time. But I also noticed it does not happen if truck was started up recently. It seems to happen when truck sits over nite and on the first cold start up the next day. And I fix it the same way you do. I got the recall done 11/19/24 and my build number did not change from what it was before and I'm, still at Android 10. I'm on the fence about pushing for the android 12 update because of all the problems I see on this forum with it. Now that I know if I just wait another 2 seconds before starting my truck up, the speedo and rpm gage will work. Question, since your at level 12 and build number at 172.6.1, have you had the speedo and rpm issue anymore?
