I can see that with these mega corporate dealerships like Sonic Automotive Group who don't care that they lose a small handful of customers due to a crappy service department experience because they know they can lure 10x that number through the doors with some sketchy marketing gimmick. The smaller mom and pop dealerships on the other hand ought to have better service departments because it's their name and reputation that's at stake.

I'm having the same issue as the OP. 2021, 3.0 Duramax, 56k miles.

Stay away from the garbage "leather care/cleaners" they sell at Autozone, etc. Find stuff called Leatherique. It has a rejuvenator oil that's applied first, this works into the leather loosening up the dirt, grime, salt, etc. Then apply the cleaner to remove the grime thus leaving clean, soft leather. IIRC, it's available online at either autopia.com or autogeek.com
