As a newbie, I am hauling a truck camper with the tailgate open to make way for the length of my truck camper which sits beyond my short bed. Thank you Lord that I do not have to remove my tailgate...Even still, lost my back up camera function (points to the towing hitch) as well as my rearview mirror function which comes with the territory of a truck camper. Any recommendations for a DIY camera install would help with my pocketbook and alleviate any stress of an expensive install by a professional. A dash camera system that can record at the same time and alleviate my humongous blindspot while backing up and changing lanes would be tremendous. I am hoping that experienced truck campers "who has been there done that" can emphasize with my frustration and offer invaluable feedback.

Perhaps, if the gear is on "D", there is no gear number indicated on the cluster but if the gear is on "L", the gear number is displayed. I don't know as I have not owned a gmc sierra truck

Hello, can anyone confirm whether or not there is a gear indicator on the cluster. The truck boasts about its 10 speed Allison transmission and so I was shocked when I saw a review on YouTube for the 2024 Gmc Sierra truck. The YouTuber said that there was no gear speed indicator unlike GM's competitors like Ford and Ran trucks and that was his real disappointment
