  1. No, I have not had any work done other than oil change. This did start sometime in the last 3-5 months. I recall this winter removing the phone and it was rather cool. Anyway, was suspecting there was a vent duct that may have wiggled loose. Do you or anyone else know where I can look for said vent duct?
  2. I have the wireless charger that is a slot under the front of the center console arm rest. The cooling part of the setup has stopped working resulting in the phone overheating when wireless charging. Previosuly my phone was almost cold to the touch when this cooling feature was working. Does anyone know how this can be fixed by me or is it a dealership appointment? When I remove the rubber pad, at the very top is a 1-1/2 inch slot that I can feel a little cool air in there if I stick my finger in. I do not understand how the cool air gets from this slot to the topside of the rubber mat.
  3. For others that run into this problem, its an easy fix. In a nutshell, Maps “forgot” it could use my location although the setting said it was ok to use my location. Go to the Settings menu of the truck, not the Maps settings Select Apps and Permissions Select App Permissions Select Location Select Maps Go to the bottom of the screen and choose Deny. This is telling the Maps app to not determine your current location. Now select the option Allow All the Time. That’s it. At this point I got a message stating it was downloading maps. Let it finish and then Maps was able to see and track my location and the speed limit on the HUD returned.
  4. I have a 2024 1500 with the fancy Android Automotive thing and its frustrating me. Note I'm referring here to the Google Maps built-in to the truck, not the Android Auto that is used when attaching a phone to the truck via bluetooth/cable. Today I got in the truck and the little red dot appeared on my name and the message said it was updating the offline maps. Ok, fine. I get down the road a bit and notice the speed limit is not displayed on the HUD. After I did my errand and started the truck again, the map showed a global view. It would not show my local area. I could zoom in to my area manually but it will not show my location. When I click the icon for gas or food or just general search it says waiting for location. I did choose the option to delete the offline map and re-downloaded -- and that was successful. I so logged out of my Google account and logged back in -- did not help. In short, Maps does not know where I am. Maps was working fine yesterday. The compass does know what direction I'm heading and the wifi streaming channels of SiriusXM are working. That leads me to think the communications module is still working. I say that because last year my previous truck also had and issue where the maps, data (streaming channels and offline maps), compass and myGMC App on my phone all stopped working and the cause was the communications module that failed. Does anyone have any suggestions what this issue might be or experienced the same?
