  1. Hi- I have the UYS (Nav Radio) and after reading the forum, possibly a unique problem (lucky me) I recently had the two batteries I had go dead, dead dead. Once charged and brought back to life by a battery company, there have been no issues, except one. I lost my GPS signal I get the little square box with a redline saying No GPS on the screen. Of course my handy dandy GM Manual says GPS can be lost if batteries go dead, well done GM, you got that right. However, one would've hoped they would tell you how to get it back? Nope! So, I have held the end of call button for 30 seconds numerous times, nothing happens. I have tried holding the power button down for 30 seconds+ nothing happens I have disconnected both batteries and let the truck sit for hours, hooked back up and Nada happens. I have tried menu's to see if there is ANYWHERE to reset this radio and their is Nada. I have taken it into GM and they have done the above and confirmed I did everything possible but also cannot figure out how to Reset the radio. There are no paper clip pin holes by the power button to hit. The Radio is a UYS (remembering 2014 for the 3500 was not the change year, my dash is the same as the previous years. 3500 got the upgrade in 2015) I have no Apps that GM continues to refer me too, ie go to "Settings App" blah blah blah So some rudimentary troubleshooting has ruled out the Antenna because I still have XM I have a clock but when I shut off the truck and turn it back on again its always 12 noon again So the assumption is once set the clock gets its time pulse from GPS? I could be wrong on that. I have not subscribed to OnStar and have no lights (truck is new to me, so no idea if button should be red, but I have nothing) Questions Can the GPS antenna be bad yet still recieve XM? (I have original antenna because I can see the "vent in the gasket is stil at the high point of the antenna) Does anyone on the planet know how to factory reset a UYS Radio? (I know its UYS because of the sticky in the Glove compartment) Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance
