    So had VB replaced in January on new 2024 silverado with 6k miles. Fingers crossed but so far so good. Anyway today brought to the dealer for oil change and was told there may be a “recall” on the check balls in the VB. After it was done I was told I did not need the check balls replaced because apparently the new VB has the correct one. I guess this isn’t an active recall or whatever you would call it. They only mention it if you happen to bring your truck in for some maintenance and then they check it. I also think it only applies to trucks still under warranty but I am not sure.

    Exactly! Everyone needs to call the BBB too. This is ridiculous and a terrible way to do business.

    I brought my truck in 12/11. Told it would be 3 weeks to 3 months b/o. Spoke to the service manager, told me he will keep calling around to find one, also wrote GM and the NTSBA. Got useless emails from GM. Long story short the Chevy dealer called on New Year’s Eve and said the truck was all set! Scary part is GM still emailed me for a couple of weeks after that saying the part was still b/o until I finally told them I got it back. Tells me GM doesn’t seem to know what is going on. So far so good with truck, fingers crossed.

    Maybe someone in this forum is or knows an attorney…this is awful business practice. Maybe a class action lawsuit would help?

    I have a 2024 Silverado LT 5.3L V8. Bought it new 5 months ago, 6600 miles. Couldn’t reverse or shift out of 1st. Dealer called today said it needs a new valve body, b/o 2 weeks to 3 months. They are getting me a loaner suv but very disheartening.

    2024 chevy silverado. Bought brand new 5 months ago. Have 6600 miles on it and the valve body failed already! Now being told it’s b/o 2 weeks to 3 months. First chevy truck i bought, I have regrets
