The towing package rear shocks are air shocks with a compressor. They have holes in the rubber so they lost air and apparently the compressor burned up. They appear to be the same shocks as the shocks installed but have an additional electrical connection that the towing package shocks don’t have. I’m replacing the compressor also.
I purchased a used 2017 Yukon XL. After driving it a while I noticed noise from the rear. I found out that the rear shocks had holes in the boots. I search for the replacement shocks and everything came up as magneride. I purchased a replacement set of Magneride rear shocks with the air compressor pump. After looking farther into my vehicle I found out that I didn’t have magneride suspension. I have a trailering package. Can I install the magneride shocks in place of the OE trailer package shocks and just leave the electrical connections disconnected?
