    I would have kept my Chevy or traded in on another if if I could have found a decent deal. 17 year old things were starting to go south (engine and transmission was fine) upholstery was rotted and falling down, both doors would leak water. Was going to need front wheel hugs again..brake pedal would push back sometimes. about all the dash lights was burnt out. The truck served me well for 17 years

    The Silverado was the better truck when is was newer and less miles for sure...I just wanted something newer, the 5.3 had no issues at all. The Nissan shouldn't have any problem pulling my 16' trailer since I no longer have a tractor..just mowers when they need to go to the shop, 1400 pound is most one of them weights

    Traded my 2006 Chevy Silverado other day and got a Nissan Frontier. The chey has been pretty good overall truck, I bought in 2006 and drove it daily without much issues. The HVAC had some issues over the last couple of years, upholstery falling down and dry rotted. Other than that very solid truck Thanks for all the help and information I got of here

    I have the two slider controls one for each side, when heater in on I get cold air out of both sides, when it decides to fail

    Engine temps are normal, after going down the road for few mile all sudden hot air returns until the next time you start off down the road. Would be the same actuator again if heater hoses check out?

    Couple years back my 2006 silverado would only blow hot air through vent even when A/C was on. I replaced the actuator and it was fixed. not when heat is on only cold air coming in... Will that be the same actuator again (one near floorboard) ? Thanks

    Replaced starter, everything else seem to be okay, so far no issue...maybe bad spot on starter?

    Sometime while trying to start the truck I get nothing, radio, AC, still working. Turn key off try again fires right up...May go many times without failing to start. 5.3L
