  1. Ok, its been a couple of weeks since i ordered the part and installed it. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to cut the old one off use some heater hose to bridge the old hose to the new valve and then clear the code. The code came back almost immediately but went back off the next day and has not returned. So I am calling my truck FIXED!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guy's!
  2. The old hose will need to be cut as close to the valve as possible. The hose in your question is not an extra hose, you will use it to connect the old hose to the new valve. You will only need 3 to four inches and two hose clamps.
