Wondering if anyone can help me with figuring out what I need for this swap or if the swap will work I have a 01 4.8 ext cab stepside found a lq4 6.0 seller said it had the old iron heads on it but will be putting 799 heads on it wondering if it will work with a 4L60E or have to get a 80e coming from a 2500 gmc Sierra 2000ish

I bought my old service truck from the company I work for. It has 204k miles and the oil pressure was low. I was told it needed an oil pump, so I had one installed along with a new pickup. It still has low pressure and there were several brass shavings in the old pickup. I am fairly certain the cam bearings are trashed since I have read that is a common problem with these. Now that the background is out of the way, I have located a 2005 6.0 with about 180k for a very reasonable price. He said it would work in my 2009, but I would need the computer from the 2005, which he would include in the deal. My questions are, 1- is the 2005 6.0 compatible with my 2009? 2- would I need the 2005 computer, and if so, would I need anything else from the 2005 truck? 3- would this screw with my NC State inspection being an earlier model engine? 4- what would you suggest I do?
