Hey there all I've done as much digging on my own before coming here but Im needing some help. I currently have a 1997 Chevrolet c1500 extended cab, my RPO code tells me that i have a factory GU8 rear differential and I'm looking to upgrade. I've always been weary of clutch style lsd differentials so I've been pouring over information on torque sensing positrac diffs. I think I've come down to my final run down on what I'm wanting to do but I want to get some feedback before I spend the money From what I can gather, the rear axle under the 98-2001 Camaro is the same series as the axle under my truck, and I believe has the zexel t2 series torsen differential I'm looking for. So I'm hoping that I can take the zexel from a Camaro and mate my current ring gear to it to use in my truck. If anyone has any more Info I'd be really appreciative.

07/12/2020 Hey everyone, I'm new to the game. I understand tire sizing but not fitment regarding clearances with aftermarket wheels. Looking for some advice. I know that I would like an aggressive MT in 33's. I'd like to get new wheels because I absolutely hate the stock polished aluminum 18's I have right now. I'd like to get 289-295/70/18's but I'm not sure if that would fit with wheels with a -24mm offset and still have enough clearance in the wheel wells to turn completely without rubbing. My plan is to get the MotoFab 3 inch front leveling kit (strut spacer) before I go and by wheels and tires. If you've done something similar, I'd love to hear form you. If you know of a good way that I could figure this out without buying everything first to test it, that would be great too. Thanks in advance! 07/13/2020 Quick update: I've spoken with a friend of a friend who knows WAY more than myself about lifting trucks and the fitment of aftermarket wheels and tires. First off, he suggested that I don't put in a 3 inch strut spacer kit. His reasoning was that I'd be replacing ball joints, CV shafts, wheel bearings, ect. His rational was that the spacer would through the angles off too much and put excessive wear on many parts. He also said I could go through and change out the upper control arms to attempt to correct the angles a bit (at that point, I'm thinking, well if I'm going to go that far I might as well just wait and buy the real lift kit that I want). Another point he brought up is that if I were to put the 3 inch spacers in, it may through the alignment off so much that there wouldn't be enough adjustment in the stock tie rods to make the proper adjustments needed to complete the alignment. So now I'm just in the process of re-evaluating what I want to do. Stand by for another update soon to come.

Trying to find out if I can fit the stock wheels and tires from a 2020 GMC Sierra Denali 2500hd on my 2016 GMC Sierra 2500hd with stock suspension. I know the bolt pattern is the same and based on what I have seen on the forums the 275/60R20 tire will fit with stock 2016 wheels without rubbing but I'm concerned the slight difference in offset from 44mm on the 2016 wheels to the 47mm on the 2020 wheels will be an issue. Has anyone tried this yet?

Can you replace a 2018 w/t inside front door panels with 2018 Tahoe front door panels? Are they interchangeable? Thanks

I just purchased a new 2018 Silverado LT Z71 4wd crew cab short bed and am planning on putting the zone 4.5" lift kit on the truck with fox shocks. I love the look of deep dish rims and am leaning toward Hostile sprockets. I am wondering 2 things. 1. if going with a 20x12 on 33 m/t and -44 offset, how much cutting would be involved to solve the rubbing issue and would those cuts be visible with the wheels mounted from the outside? 2. What is the meatiest size someone would recommend for the Hostiles on 33's without having to cut and without rubbing on the 4.5" lift?

I have been looking around and cant find any info on this. Can i swap the brakes from a 2000 silverado onto my 2005 silverado to clear 16" rims? I know it can be done by grinding, but i dont want to comprimise the safety of it. The 2000 has 16" rims and will clear the rims i want to swap on.

So i just bought 275 65 r18 bfgoodrich ko2's and am looking to get wheels with a more aggressive offset. my wheels right now are a positive 18 which is i believe the same as stock and I am looking into an 18x9 with a -12 offset, does anybody run this here, and if so was there any trimming necessary after installation of these wheels?

I have an 08 Silverado 1500 on a 2 inch RC level, I want to make sure that a 20x9 with a -12mm offset with a 275 55 r20 tire will both fit without any rubbing and look good, currently I am on an 18x9 with an 18 mm offset. Also will I have the tires sticking out past the wheel wells? Thanks.

For 2014+ trucks: I've been on the 3 major GM forums looking at leveled trucks and tire fitment for awhile now, but there is very little data on the sizes I listed. The 275/70r18 and 285/65r18 are known to fit leveled trucks, but neither tire looks that much bigger than stock to me. Would like anyone running 305/65R18 or 305/60R18 or 295/70R18 to post some pics and details. Or some links to other trucks that are running these sizes. From what I can tell, they will all fit on a leveled truck, but there may be some liner trimming required and the wider 305 will rub the swaybar. A 1.5 BL gives additional clearance for the liner but doesn't help the swaybar rub. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey all, I was looking for a rear bumper for my 2003 Silverado today, and Theres a kind of local guy on craigslist advertising 4 brand new 2015 Silverado bumpers for sale, and he claims that they bolt right up to any half ton/1500 models 99+. Its a long drive from him to me, so Im not wanting to drive out to be disappointed. Has anyone ever heard of this working? Has anyone ever tried? He's got me pretty convinced since he put one on his 2003 duramax, but Im still curious. Heres the link, let me know what you think. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/5013187274.html
