Whats up guys! I'm gonna be taking my truck on its first sand dune trip in the next couple weeks and was looking to get a flagpole. I have seen plenty of mounts that hook right up trailer hitch but they look flimsy. Just wondering what you guys are running??

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 11-8-2018 We say two thumbs up. The Silverado 2500 HD has four Special Editions. There are the Tribute, Alaskan, Custom Sport, and Midnight Edition. The Tribute is an LTZ/Z71 with a black bowtie, chrome front skid plate and an American flag logo stretching from the "splash-up" area behind the front tire to the rear taillights. The flag is rendered in one color and is offset by the vehicle body colors. We think the blue looks particularly good with the white flag decal overlaid. Chevy has given the flag an "aero" look. We like the look and this reporter gives the look two thumbs up. What say you, GM-Trucks.com faithful?

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 9-28-2016 Chevrolet used a record setting flag-pull to announce the official Duramax 6.6L diesel engine specs today. We are pretty sure that exact combination of words has never before been written. The specs were leaked earlier this week, but Chevy has confirmed that the engine can produce an SAE-certified 445 horsepower (332 kW) and 910 lb.-ft. of torque (1,234 Nm) — a 19 percent increase over the current Duramax 6.6L. Chevy staged a Guinness World Records event as the backdrop. The record is for the largest U.S. flag ever pulled by a moving vehicle. The flag was about 3,200 square feet in size. You can see it if you visit the State Fair of Texas, which starts tomorrow. If you're a Patriot, you may know that allowing the American flag to touch the ground is a no-no. So a crew of volunteers made sure it did not during the start and finish of the runs.
