All My first problem, and post with my 2014 silverado , regular cab, 75000 miles, 4.3L auto trans. Hope I explain this well. This just started abruptly today. While coasting in drive, under 45 MPH, it feels like brake lightly/quickly applied, or converter lock up about every 2 seconds until stop. Very lightly, but feels harsher if brakes are applied lightly. Goes away when shifted into neutral while coasting. Gut feeling is torque converter locking up for unkown reason. Ideas? Thanks, Kevin -
I have a 99 gmc 2500. It’s shiftig very hard and the speedometer will stop working. It doesn’t do it every time I drive it and it doesn’t do it the whole time I drive it.. it’s just on and off. The check engine light is NOT on. Please help! Also has a new alternator and battery. -
I have been looking and have seen several post describing a similar issue but have not seen any resolution. My 2012 Sierra just started jerking either left or right randomly. The more I drove it I realized the steering wheel was also cocked a few degrees of center...then after a "Jerking episode" the steering wheel would be cocked off center but to the other direction. 7 weeks ago I put in 2" spacers to level the truck. In the process I had to replace both upper control arms. I took the truck in for an alignment and they replaced the ball joints on the lower control arms. Now $800 later and maybe 300 miles my truck is jerking left during hard braking or right during acceleration. When I say jerk I mean puts me in the other lane or almost off the shoulder. The only other time it jerked was when I hit the first set of rumble strips coming to a stop sign (before I began to brake)....almost like something jostled and caused the same jerk that put me well over the center line. At this point it is not being driven until I get it looked at or fixed. Checking to see if anyone has ideas or a known cause so I can get to the root of the problem right away rather than have a shop guess and come away only with hundreds of dollars spent with no solution. This is my weekend vehicle for the most part so it hasn't been used a lot since the alignment and surely hasn't been abused.
