09 Silverado crew cab 4wd. After programming the key fob it won’t work?? The truck will beep accepting the fob then does nothing. No codes,no check engine light,a few new electric parts (brake and oil switches,cruise control is back but key fob only works to program then nothing. Tpms is working fine reading all 4 tires so I wouldn’t think it’s the receiver. I need some advice on what to try next? I’m wearing out the only key hole in the truck:) thanks in advance!! I just went out and tried the tpms reset with the fob and the horn honked and it went into reset mode,all tpms still good but fob will not lock,unlock,panic or start.zero response from truck unless in some form of programming mode(tpms reset,remote relearn)

This is an FYI for anyone having trouble with the range and performance of the key fob. I was having problems with my 2020 Tahoe's door locks. The door handle button would often fail to work especially in the summer heat. Also, the remote start wouldn't work unless I was right next to the car. Dealership found a TSB for bad antenna modules. They replaced the module and everything works great. -
Hey, i'm new to forums. Not sure how to search for my problem..sorry if a repeat. I can't seem to find in the manual and running through all the vehicle settings on 2019 sierra denali. When i approach the truck with keyfob in my hand, and push the handle button, the lights flash but nothing unlocks. There is an option about proximity entry: off/driver door or all doors... I have it on all doors. Now the damn thing worked fine for the first 2 months...this stopped working 1 month ago. Anyone experience this? How to fix? Jack -
Hey all, I have looked and looked for more clear instructions on how to program a second key fob for my 2020 Silverado (dealership lost 2nd set). I live 8 hours from where I bought the truck and the dealership I bought it from would need the truck to program it. I am trying to do it myself. I have followed this guide but still no luck. The youtube video that is out for it is if you are programming a key fob without already having one programmed. It wasn't much help for me. Any GM Mechanics have a quick write up they can copy and paste would be appreciated. I have a 2015 GMC Sierra and a 2014 Chevy Cruze neither vehicles key fob will work when within 30 feet of another vehicle at the house a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. If I move the Elantra they both work fine. The Elantra has no issues with the key fob. What kind of signal could the Elantra be releasing to block the signal of only to the other two vehicles? I am stumped on this. Thanks for any help. -
Here is my latest 3D design and print of a simple key fob holder that can be used when you have your truck parked in the garage and want it close to the RF receiver. This was printed from PA 12 with 20% carbon fiber (Nylon X) filament. The flanges are double back taped to the console area. Still working the final sunglass cubby design, awaiting more carbon fiber filament. I can offer up the .stl file if anyone would like to print for themselves, of I can print for a nominal fee and shipping. Pics for you viewing pleasure. Bill.
