I had purchased a replacement GMC camera for my 2014 1500 SLT Sierra to attach to my truck camper. It worked great. I recently replaced that truck with a 2016 2500 SLT Sierra. Unfortunately, when I went to plug in the camera which i had attached to my camper, I discovered that GMC had changed the connector. The 2016 2500 has an 8 pin plug while my 2014 1500 had a 6 pin plug. I am assuming that my camera from the 1500 should work with the 2500 truck if I can find an adapter. Is there a good source to confirm and to assist with providing a solution?

Cadillac says that the streaming video mirror improves field of vision by an estimated 300 percent, or roughly four times greater than a standard rearview mirror. A couple years back we tested a Tesla Model S and its rear-view backup camera was obscured by rain, rendering it useless. Chevrolet tackled that by adding A water-shedding hydrophobic coating applied to the camera to keep it clean to maintain visibility regardless of the driving conditions. If for any reason the driver prefers a "normal" rear view mirror she can simply flip a toggle and the mirror becomes a traditional mirror.

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 4/18/2016 Let's be completely honest. The 2017 Cadillac XT5 has the Lexus RX squarely in its sights. The outgoing SRX was no slouch and has basically become the Cadillac brand as the company's sedan sales go down the drain. The new XT5 has just earned a spot on the same awards list as the 2016 Lexus RX. WardsAuto named the new XT5 to the 2016 Wards 10 Best Interiors list because its interior rocks. More specifically, the new five-passenger crossover has "first-rate materials." That wasn't the real tipping point, though. Rather, it was the cool rear-view camera integrated into the XT5's mirror.
