Hello all. I own an 18 Silverado 1500 LT , double cab, 6’6” box, 6 spd transmission, I have opted to put 26” status alloy empire wheels with tire size of 305/26/30. Stock transmission gave out. They said torque converter and pump went out then everything else went with it. Was able to replace the entire unit with a remanufactured from GM. 1 month later, back to the shop (dealer). They covered the repairs because it was under warranty but if it goes out again they won’t because they believe it is the rims causing the trouble. However they will cover if it goes out with stock wheels. Which I will be putting back on. Has anyone else experienced issues with this type of truck and 26” wheels? I did research the “Unsprung weight” makes some sense, however only the transmission gave out, not my drive shaft, drive shaft knuckles, diff, just the goofy transmission which I know the 8 speed has had their share of ongoing things. Anyone with info ,thought , something sketched on a cocktail napkin would be greatly appreciated. I do thank you all for your time on this.

Hello everyone! im looking to trade my stock 22 inch Denali rims and tires off my 2020 Sierra 1500 , for 20 inch rims and tires. Can be from either At4 or Denali. Nothing wrong with them as of now 11/14 there is just under 4K miles on them.. I just don’t like that I can not find a more aggressive off road tire for this current rim .. current tire size is 275/50/R22. I live in the Chicago IL area

Planning on leveling my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE with the 3” front 2” rear MOTOFAB leveling kit. Currently have stock wheels/tires on it which are 255/70R17. Thinking about jumping up to 18” wheels instead but wanted to know how much of a difference the 17” to 18” jump would make in appearance. I was able to find plenty of pictures with 18” wheels but are there any photos out there of leveled /lifted trucks with 17” rims?

Good afterenoon, and happy new year to everyone. I have a issue that I cannot seem to nail down. I have a rim that is leaking air at the bead with new tires. I've been told that the rims needs to be replaced. My issue is that I cannot locate the rim/style/design of what exactly it is to find a replacement. The stealership offered up a $576 rim, but seriously, that's seems out of control. I'd be happy to use an aftermarket replica or go to the junk yard and pick up a used one. attached is a pic of the rim, but I cannot find any specs to use other than the dimensions. Can anyone tell me the style, name or design of this rim? Rim is 20x9, factory (I believe it is listed as "design 3"). 2014 GMC Sierra. 275/60/r20's.
