  1. Hello everyone! im looking to trade my stock 22 inch Denali rims and tires off my 2020 Sierra 1500 , for 20 inch rims and tires. Can be from either At4 or Denali. Nothing wrong with them as of now 11/14 there is just under 4K miles on them.. I just don’t like that I can not find a more aggressive off road tire for this current rim .. current tire size is 275/50/R22. I live in the Chicago IL area
  2. Hey! well I’m glad to hear they took you seriously, and started somewhere to fix it. I’m betting you will be good to go though now! So far I still have no codes after that procedure.
  3. Maybe, but they did way more work than that. I attached the report from the tech in the earlier post of the chain. Keep in mind new recalls and procedures can be issued/changed/modified from the manufacturer at anytime. I believe the original fix was a software update , then that turned out to be disastrous, then there was a replacement fix for that recall...I could be wrong, just thought I read that somewhere. Thanks for the reply! Andrew -
  4. Just wanted to update everyone. Its been almost two weeks now, and so far the "Service brake assist" Message has not returned. Andrew -
  5. Hey Guys! So I just installed my Emblem as well. I had to order mine off of Ebay because they are sold out/ back ordered on the sites everyone provided in this thread. Couple of things I'd like to point out that I discovered on my own experience , and I really hope everyone considered. 1.) Yes its true, you do not need to remove the grill, nor do I recommend it. I know.. I know... Shortcuts are not always the best, but this will save time, and avoid any hassle, and room for error if you have never removed the 2020 sierra grill before. So If you can, feel free to leave the grill on. Or if you want to add to your man stats, then take the grill off.. 2.) The inner red letters should be removed, and for me -made it easier to remove the outer emblem assembly. Why? Well the tabs that hold the emblem in place have to be bent back with a screwdriver behind the grill. You can not do this with out the great risk of damaging the retaining tabs that are apart of the grill that hold in the emblem. So think of it like this- Break the old emblem that you are replacing anyway , and still have a grill that is not damaged to secure the new emblem? Or damage the grill that can not longer hold any emblem? If your sentimental like me. Be as gentle as possible, and crazy glue what you can of the old emblem back together and make something creative with it. Worst case if you break the old emblem, you can buy a new one. I do not think they are as nearly as expensive as the illuminated ones.. 3.) As the original post mentioned. Make sure you do not run the wire through the grill shudders. I posted a picture of where they are below. Hope everyone is safe and sound during this hard time! Andrew -
  6. I mis1quoted looks like he reinstalled the lines .. but I was surprised as well as to the amount of work needed from the fix. So something from the previous recalls must have been amended by GM to fix the issue, for all we know this could be a new issue itself..
  7. Hey I had the same issue, just got it back. Code will not go away my dealer informed me it was a major recall. They replaced the entire master cylinder. Code is gone almost a week now . See attached tech report, your dealer is wrong and putting your life at risk by being lazy. Remember you paid 60grand for that truck , no one should have the balls to waste your time. The technology these days it very advanced and if there is a code on its for a reason. Unfortunately there are some Lazy techs Who don’t want to do warranty work..
  8. My pleasure, I was once in the dark about this. I’m so glad I could help others with this info. Apparently the infamous brake recall they had a couple years ago has lingered into the 2020 models as well. Just be very careful driving it. I did not experience any brake lag or failure, it only had the annoying light on. But I’ve read other posts who had the same light and had brake issues. Aside from that how do you like your truck? I love it, I refuse to let the recall stop me from enjoying it!
  9. Hey all! All they told me is that it was a major recall. I think they didn’t want me to be upset, after I only had the truck a week. They replaced brake master cylinder, brake module, and replaced all the brake lines. I’ll say the dealer did a great job, I couldn’t even tell they did all that work, as I also am a former Tech myself. It was Big job especially for a brand new truck with 100 miles on it . I will say the code is gone so far, almost a week now, the code would come back hours later after they cleared it, I’m pretty confident they fixed it. Here is a copy of the report. I would absolutely keep hounding your local dealer to fix the code, it’s in for a reason, and it’s not going to go away!
  10. How do you like it? I just bought the same on for my Sierra Denali. The left female clip came broken that holds cover open =\. Aside from that I really like mine!
  11. Hey all! I just got a brand new 2020 Denali off the showroom floor . It has a message in the dash “service brake assist”. It was even on while I took it for a test drive. Long story short Looks like the dealer is replacing the master cylinder. Not sure what the full scope of the techs report is yet, I’ll keep everyone posted. My vin has no recall in the NHTSA, but that can always change..
