  1. I waited several extra months for the AT4's release to purchase my truck. Less than 1 day of light driving and 70 miles into my new truck the transmission started to slip in and out of gear. I pulled into a parking lot and when I shifted into revers the truck slowly rolled forward. Onstar had a flat bed tow truck there within an hour to bring the day old truck back to the dealer. The dealer can not start work on the truck until GM approves the new transmission. I am told that there is a lot of extra paperwork and approval because there are so few miles and it is a new truck. I would think that GM would want to maintain their customer loyalty and support their new designs before aggravating buyers of new trucks. I have been a lifelong GM buyer, but thinking that i should have gone with a Ford or Ram. Has anyone else had to wait for repairs on a brand new vehicle?
  2. As the subject states - had the unfortunate experience of being 1 day into ownership, 148 miles when braking at a red light the Brakes seized and warning comes on to service the Brake Assist. I loved the truck, but man, sure puts a dampen on your mood after putting 10 grand down less than 24 hours prior.
  3. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 12-17-2018 GMC has just released details of its 2019 Sierra AT4 off-road performance package. The AT4 is not new, it was launched earlier this year along with other trim packages. GMC is now adding a Performance Package to the AT4. To the already impressive list of AT4 features, GMC includes the following on the Performance Package: - 6.2L V-8 engine mated to 10-speed automatic transmission. - 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. - Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System. - Performance Air Intake. These changes add 15 horsepower and 9 lb-ft of torque to a Sierra equipped with a conventional 6.2L V-8. Power is now 435 horsepower and torque is 469 lb-ft. The 6.2L has recently been named a Wards 10 Best Engine for 2019. The AT4 package includes the following content: Standard 2-inch factory-installed suspension lift. Standard 4WD with a two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential and skid plates. Standard off-road-tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers. Standard Hill Descent Control. Standard Traction Select System. Standard GMC exclusive, industry-first MultiPro Tailgate. Standard black chrome finish on the fog lamp bezels, fender surround and grille insert. Standard body-color grille surround, door handles and bumper. Standard exclusive athletic interior trim elements. Standard red vertical recovery hooks. Available segment-first Multi-Color Head-Up Display. Available segment-first Rear Camera Mirror. Available GMC-exclusive, industry-first Carbon Fiber Pickup Box. A full suite of advanced available safety features including Surround Vision, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking and Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking. GMC says that the Sierra AT4 Off-Road Performance Package is priced at $4,940 and is on sale now.
  4. Hey guys! I just filmed a quick (sorta haha) little walk around of the new AT4 we just got at work.....figured you guys might want to check it out. Pretty sweet truck, still don't think I'll trade in my 17 for one thought. What do you all think?
  5. Guessing its close the the same amount of suspension travel as K2XX? Here's the AT4 suspension in action on some dirt road trail.
  6. I've tried searching and can't seem to find any information about towing. I've had a couple of 2500's, a 3500 and my son now has a Canyon. When he got his, I went back to a 4 door sedan. It's been 3 years and I'm ready to be back in a truck. His 4 cylinder Canyon doesn't do it for me.... I'm interested in a 2019 AT4 with the D-max. Will the tow specs be lower on the AT4 than on the straight Denali? Kind of like how the ZR2 is less than the Z71 Colorado. Thanks, friends!
  7. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 3-26-2018 GMC launched a new off-road special edition Sierra today. The AT4 comes standard with a 2" lift, standard 4WD with a two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential and skid plates, and off-road-tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers. Customers can choose between 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires or mud terrain-rated Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, or available 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. We will pause momentarily to let you catch your breath. The 5.3-liter V8 is standard, but both the 6.2L V-8 and Duramax 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel are optional. Hill descent control is just one of the many off-road technologies available, but the AT4 is more than just and off-road capable truck. It has industry first multi-color head up display and rear-view mirror options. “The 2019 Sierra AT4 is designed for the customer who wants an elevated presence on the road and the capability to venture off life’s beaten path,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC. “It’s also the beginning for the AT4 brand, which will be seen on every vehicle in our lineup in the next two years.” We love the look of the "Black Chrome" accents inside and out. And of course, the AT4 will have the MultiPro tailgate and available carbon fiber CarbonPro box when it becomes available later this year.
