I purchased 2024 sierra 1500 AT4 June 20 2024 and already paint is chipping very easily off both front and back bumpers, the running boards are down to bare metal and lug nuts are starting to rust. Everything is stock from factory. has anyone heard or dealt with anything similar? my last 2015 hd had 200k on gravel roads and I could count the chips it had on one hand. the chips on bumpers are down to primer and looks like no adhesion.

Hi there, I just put an AFE Power Momentum HD cold air intake on my 2020 Sierra 2500 AT4 and since I did that I have a pop-up that says "Check Engine Air Filter System" every time that I start the truck. When I scroll on the info page to "Air Filter Life" option it says "Check System". Does anyone know how to disable the filter life so that I do not receive these? Thanks

Hello all, My Sway bar was hitting my CV axle, as the title says. So I crawled under some trucks at the dealer to see what stock trucks are like and it turns out that the new TB/AT4's have longer end links then my 2020 TB. The new end link has a 3 inch rod vs the 1-3/4 inch OE part. The part number for the longer end link is P/N:85590925

I’m installing some lights in the grill of my AT4 and would like them to come on with the parking lights. I do not want to cut into the wiring. Does anyone know a good place to pick up a connection to not have to splice wires?

I'm wanting to add some additional light on the back of my 2023 2500 AT4. So, I've purchased a CURT (56584) 7way T with a 5way plug as well a set of Rough Country 6" slim light bars (97026B) for a side by side. My thoughts were to add the 7way T so I didn't have to cut or tap into any factory wires and then wire the lights to the 5way reverse wire. But after getting the lights from Rough Country today, I'm a bit confused on how I can do this. The light bars come with a wiring harness that includes a relay, two wires plugs for each light, a battery +/- leads and a on/off switch (which I don't want since I don't want to turn them on/off by switch but when the truck is in reverse). Any suggestions on how I could make this work?

Unfortunately this is my first post here. But thought my info would be helpful to others. My new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 Limited with the 6.2 has been in the shop for a couple days due to lifter failure. The truck had right at 6,000 miles on it when the lifter collapsed and bent a push rod. I called the dealer for an update, and they said parts should be in in the next day or two, then they'll replace the affected bank of lifters..... I asked why they won't replace both banks since the failure occurred in less than 8,000 miles? They told me that particular TSB procedure stopped at the 2021 model year. The 2022's will only have the affected bank side replaced even if failure occurs in under 8,000 miles on your brand new truck. I've opened a case with GM directly to try and get both banks replaced since the parts still seem to be substandard. I don't want to be pulling my camper with my family, and have the truck fail on me again because they only replaced half of the defective parts. I can't even get a loaner from the dealership while the truck is being fixed. Aside from this current headache, I absolutely love our new truck. No plans on getting rid of it, I just want it fixed the right way with parts that aren't inferior. Edit: The truck has a build date of 12/21. Unsure of engine build date, but have to imagine it's close to the truck's build date.

As the subject states - had the unfortunate experience of being 1 day into ownership, 148 miles when braking at a red light the Brakes seized and warning comes on to service the Brake Assist. I loved the truck, but man, sure puts a dampen on your mood after putting 10 grand down less than 24 hours prior.

I just purchased a Readylift sst 2” lift for my trail boss and then came across forums about the cv angle this particular kit causes. I want to know if the kit in the link below will work to drop the diff enough to correct the bad angles, or if anyone has a link to a different kit! Thanks in advance! https://www.ebay.com/itm/283619576133?hash=item42090b4945%3Ag%3ABYQAAOSw4Rdj0nLM&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAABAJGUZfoNyzgvlZe3ei30yhZXR27Wi9kfz7BB%2B6nWsgr0NpRdhPXlwl6SI8KTdrclCHdN2a7zGMK9FtXzzPUbYZzMdTMQL3loBX19toU3jhRcuUepMpb3OeMVkcNT2OE6T7joTVf2riRKkip6M4EtK1%2F7qgQGtC9W%2F72v7Bpc8RiHD1WtGmqFACROHepH6zRqgnV%2Bfs%2FtvaVd4VH0PHlCZhr%2FsqEw8xZaYvCqegf1ptZ66hhSXqrEfVr2R9jNVqI64NoIED5kmdHaVC%2FR2v0iXmhomqAMUbGUtkMjGtmCXjGtmgO74%2B9dGCHRx%2F%2BKk0PRSVgYrd5edQGZVHPxby9lZHo%3D|tkp%3ABFBMyOeFt_5h&fits=Submodel%3ALT+Trail+Boss|Year%3A2020|Engine+-+Liter_Display%3A5.3L|Model%3ASilverado+1500|Make%3AChevrolet|Trim%3ALT+Trail+Boss+Crew+Cab+Pickup+4-Door|Engine%3A5.3L+5328CC+325Cu.+In.+V8+GAS+OHV+Naturally+Aspirated

Similar to the 18" post, I want to see a thread with a 100% stock setup and what size tires you put on for 20" stock wheels only. This thread is not for leveling kits or aftermarket wheels. Post up some pictures! Let us know what size your tires are and what kind. I'm really only interested in doing very minor trimming if needed. My last truck I just had to zip tie the liner a little further back. Thanks! My current stock AT4

Hi. I bought a new 2021 AT4 March 5. 20 miles on it. Drove home from the dealer (4 miles) and the next time I turned it on, CEL and OnStar diagnostics emails me to take it to the service department. They say they reset MAP sensor and send me on my way. Later that day, same thing happens. I take it back in, they say MAP sensory needs replacing. They had it almost 2 weeks waiting on the part. After they replaced it, everything went fine for about 1200 miles and then I get blinking CEL for about 30 seconds then it stops. Next day, blinking CEL for a minute or so, and then it turns solid. I took it back to the dealer and they say the only code pulled was P0300 misfire. They have no idea what’s causing it, and quite frankly I’m pretty fed up at this point. They’ve had my new truck longer than I have in the month I’ve owned it. Has anyone had something similar happen?

Hello everyone, On my 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali I did a hood air induction vent swap for a chrome vent cover and while I was at it I added Led RGB lights inside the vent taking care not to restrict the air flow. Has anyone else done any chrome or Led RGB mods? If so lets see them please.

I have 2021 AT4 with the 6.2L, just recently a check engine light has come on and am a bit stumped on it. I have read the codes on the ODB11 and the reader I have shows a P2CB9 code but it give me an "information unknown" reading. My GMC app however tells me that nothing is wrong and all systems are normal. I search online and find that the P2CB9 code is a "cooling fan 2 underspeed" however I live in Canada, its -25 degrees Celsius outside and there should be no reason that cooling fan 2 needs to run, or if I need to get it to run, its too cold out to try and get it to engage. Would taking the negative battery post off reset this code? its not like its immediately urgent in my life to get it to the dealership due to im not worried about it overheating, but its blocking my command start from working and its pissing me off because its cold outside. Am I chasing the right rabbit? Thanks in advance

I just purchased 2021 Sierra at4, and I couldn’t find where to turn on the rain-sensing wiper. I live in pacific northwest, so rain-sensing wiper is a very handy to have. I had this feature on my previous cars, I assumed it should be standard on this truck at this price range as well. Does anyone know how to activate it? Also can I change the air conditioning temperature unit to centigrade without changing anything else? Like right know when I changed the unit to metric the speed also change to km/h.

I have a random problem, where the system plays the FM Radio and Spotify at the same time and the GPS is blocked. This also so has the side mirrors fold in half randomly. I have to stop the vehicle and get out close the door and wait several minutes then restart the truck. Sometimes it take 3-4 trys to clear this problem. The Dealership is useless, because there are no Codes showing. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a 2021 AT4 with a 3.0. I'm looking to upgrade my UCAs but I can't decide on a particular brand or type. I've looked at everything from BDS, Zone, Cognito, Readylift, etc. I have Bilstein 5100s coming in to go all around and plan on running the fronts at full 1.1" height. I'm not looking to raise anymore than that or I'd just go 4" kit. I talked myself out of a level kit after hearing about all the ball joint and CV issues. I plan to run at least 34s when my tires wear out. ( I run 295/55R20s right now) It's my daily driver and don't plan on plowing thru mud holes on the regular but I still need it to perform on some back roads from time to time.

Hello everyone. My first time here. I have a 2021 Sierra AT4 with the 6.2L. I have started to notice a noise when towing our boat that weighs about 6,000lbs. Several times during the trip to and from the lake I hear a rumbling sound that last like 2-4 sec. almost sounds like it can be a jake brake or hitting rumble strips on road. I hit no strips. I can’t recall if it happens on downshift or what. But it does concern me. I drove home from work today with our towing and put it in tow haul mode. It made the noise 3 times in 45 min drive. Any ideas what I’m dealing with? Would it be a bad clutch issue or is this normal? I do have the performance GM installed exhaust and performance GM installed air intake. I called dealer today and they said bring it by and they MIGHT have time to get to it next week. I planned to hit the lake this weekend for Labor Day. Thanks.

Ok, thought I would post after having the Bilstein 6112 front suspension kit placed on my 2021 1500 AT4 today. I've ordered the 5100's for the back, however they won't be in until next week. So, my goal was to get rid of the dang bounce in the truck. The ride wasn't bad, but I thought I would try the 6112's. Immediately I could tell that the truck definitely sits close to level, which I'm ok with a slight rake and I mean slight. I purposely hit a few bumps and the trucks feels more planted or stiffer. It still has a slight bounce, however you can tell the difference and I'm very satisfied. I can't wait until I get the rear Bilstein's installed, as that is where I feel it is most needed. If you are on the fence about the 6112's, get them fast. They were on backorder, so I jumped on them when they were in stock. I'll have to take pics later. Model# is BSN-47-309524

I just bought a used 2021 AT4 with the 3.0 with about 3,800 miles. This is my first diesel but I have read a ton of documentation, forums and Facebook groups specific to the 3.0 Duramax. When I got the truck I scrolled through all of the information in the DIC. I noticed that the DEF gauge is a about a third full. I figured the previous owner may have done a lot of towing with it because at 3,800 miles it should not be that low. Am I correct in that assumption? Should I go ahead and fill it up or wait until the truck tells me to? How much do I fill it? Until full? Thanks!

Anyone put at4 wheels on a last gen model? I got a 16 Denali and there’s an abundance of 20in black at4 wheels for sale and was wondering how it’d look

Forgive me if this question has been discussed but I could not find anything with a search. I have a 21 Trail Boss that I want to lift 4" for a total of 6" to fit 35's. I have been looking for awhile now at the available lifts specific to the Trail Boss and AT4 and have narrowed it down to two... The BDS 1805H strut spacer lift with UCA's. https://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1805H And Rough Country 27550 with their Vertex damping adjustable coilovers. https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-27530c.html The cost of the kits are within a couple hundred dollars of each other. I have watched all the reviews I could find on the Vertex coilovers and they seem to be good. I like the idea of them but I understand they can't be rebuilt so if they fail out of warranty I would have to replace them. Add to that the general sentiment that Rough Country in general isn't necessarily the greatest in terms of quality makes me very uncomfortable putting the kit on my truck. BDS on the other hand has great reviews and a stellar warranty but I only get a strut spacer lift with new UCA's that retains the factory coilover with the Rancho shocks. What are your thoughts, opinions and or experiences? Your input is much appreciated!

Hi everyone, new to the forum here and haven't seem to be able to find an answer after searching. Purchased a 2020 1500 AT4 last summer(love the truck), and recently added the Firestone Ride-Rite kit to the rear(kit #2609). I also ordered the 2" spacer kit as recommended (kit #2366). I'm having a bit of a problem with the install and was wondering if anyone else has added rear air bags to their AT4, and did you end up using the spacer or were you fine without it? Problem is the air bags are slightly misaligned, and appear "under-inflated" with the spacer in there even when I have 10-20psi in them(there is about 500lbs in/on the box via a canopy and a Decked box system installed in the bed; I'd rather not have to try and remove these unless I absolutely need to, to diagnose the problem). I know in the instructions it says to have 5.5-6.5" of space between the upper and lower mounts. So my next plan is to jack up the back of the truck enough via the hitch receiver to recreate the correct factory fender gap front to back(should be roughly 1.5" from the factory with no load if I'm no mistaken?), and then measure the distance between the new mounts. Thoughts and/or someone who has added rear airbags to their AT4? I'd assume the Trail Boss would be very similar? Cheers

Hope this may help someone - 2021 GMC 1500 AT4 Carbon Pro 4Play Wheels ReadyLift 1.75" Leveling Kit I just purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. These are the parts I installed: 4Play Wheels - Model 4P08 - 22x10 -18 Offset Purchase 4 Hub-Centric Rings! Nitto Terra Grappler Tires - 305/45/r22 ReadyLift Leveling Kit 4Play Wheels - The -18 Offset is so incredibly close to the caliper hump but they clear. No spacers required. They look pretty good. They don't stick out excessively which my personal preference is slightly outside the fender but no where near the -44 Offset look. I personally do not care for solid black wheels on black trucks because you loose the wheel pattern. I live in Texas so 90% of every vehicle is a truck so you see plenty of them. These have Gunmetal Gray powder coat on the top of the spokes so there is some color offset but they mostly look like solid black wheels from a distance. I debated whether to get the all Gunmetal Gray for a major change to the look but I went conservative with black and Gunmetal spokes. You must purchase 4 Hub-Centric Rings. I got everything from Nick at BBWheels and they were awesome and very good pricing. ReadyLift: Part # - 66-3921 - 2019-2021 AT4 1.75" Leveling Kit: I think instructions say like 3 hours. Ya No, at least not in my driveway with basic hand tools and floor jack and no experience. I also had no experience with CV joints so I made sure to run a strap around spindle so it did not fall back and bind or pull the CV joint out of the transfer case and take care of the angle and how much the CV joint was moving in and out, binding and making sure the strut bolt and strut bolt factory press on nut did not tear boot. This was not easy. Drivers side with setup took about 5 hours. Passenger side once I knew what I was doing took less than hour. Also did not have the large like 37mm socket for the spindle nut so I had to go to Northern Tool to purchase one. All they had was a 38mm and it worked. So I really do not know the correct size of the spindle nut but I got the job done and torqued. In the end for me the job probably rated a 7 out of 10 on difficulty scale simply because of taking care of the CV joints and getting the struts in and out without tearing the CV boots or pulling it out of the transfer case. One other note. I did not like the factory pressed on bottom strut nut. It is too tall and pointy and comes to close to the CV boot when working on the install and after. I removed this nut with a screw driver and mounted the strut bolt top down with a lock nut on the bottom on the side closest to the CV boot. Also got the ReadyLift from Nick at BBWheels. Nitto Terra Grappler Tires: To begin I made Discount Tire price match an Amazon price for 33x12.5 Terra Grappler's. Saved like $120 so do it. Next Discount said Corporate would not allow the sale of 33/12.5's because of the AT4's load rating. They said 305/45/r22's had the correct larger load rating so no big deal. They still sold them for the matched Amazon price. Tires ride great no noise look really good. My AT4 has the trailer option so I had 4 tire pressure sensors in glove box. I gave to Discount so they did not have to break down my stock wheels and remove sensors. CV Angle: The only concern I have simply because this was my first 4 Wheel Drive lift kit I ever installed is CV angles? I Googled 2019/2020 GMC Sierra AT4 CV joint angles after lift and mine looks like everyone else's so? I put an angle finder on the top side of CV shaft before and after. Before on Drivers Side it was +4 after lift +12. Bottomside of Drivers Lower Control Arm +9 after lift +15 degrees. Passenger Side it was -10 after lift -19. Bottoms side of Passenger Lower Control Arm -10 after lift -18 degrees. Does anyone have any expertise on this? Does this seem acceptable? Not sure how or if these angles will change after alignment?
