  1. Hey all I picked up a black ‘18 2500 Denali the other day and want to get rid of some of the chrome, namely the grille surround piece. Previously I had a ‘15 Silverado that was white which I plastidipped the badges and it came out great however since it was white any black contrast looked great imo. Since my new truck is black I’d like the grille surround to have a gloss finish that’s as similar as possible to the actual gloss finish of the body itself. I’ve ruled out plasti dip with glossifier and am looking at the hyper dip products either piano finish or emerald or even possible a wrap. I’m not going to go the paint route in case I decide to sell it at some point as I know some people prefer all the chrome of a denali. Anyone have any thoughts or experience matching the gloss finish of the factory finish?
  2. Hello everyone, On my 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali I did a hood air induction vent swap for a chrome vent cover and while I was at it I added Led RGB lights inside the vent taking care not to restrict the air flow. Has anyone else done any chrome or Led RGB mods? If so lets see them please.
  3. Hi all, 1500 high country 20 inch chrome rims peeling around valve stem. 3 out of 4 are doing that. 20,000 kms on truck. GM said they would cover only 2 of them... Saw on forum that a guy w a GMC truck got all 4 replaced... Your thoughts?
  4. Sorry for the poor video but figured I would post it. You can't just take the caps off the side mirrors like the K2's. You have to take the mirror out and the bezel around the mirror to access the clips that hold the cap on.
  5. I'm looking to delete all the chrome off my 2017 gmc sierra slt and was wondering if anyone wanted to swap me for black window trim? Also I'm looking for summit white door handles if anyone is willing to swap for chrome handles. Thanks guys
  6. You know you’ve done it. The questionable mod. The cheesie accessory. If it’s over the top, it belongs here. Little dog with blinker eyes? Giant emblems? Ridiculous paint? Goofy wheels wider than your tires?Trash can lid subs? Cursive writing in your tint? Welcome home. Let’s not forget performance mods... Garbage can lid hood scoop? Chrome stacks? Grandma’s emphysema O2 tank injection? We got you. Let’s see them all. There is NO SHAME too great. You know you’ve got a fin in the garage somewhere. “We’re all about the downforce” If you show me yours... I’ll show you mine. Heck, I’ll even start. Late 1960’s fender emblem. I removed the plastic and drilled the radiator support so it would sit flush. Yup, I suck. ”But, but, I’m proud of my engine, honey.” “The guy’s all think it’s cool”. She shook her head so hard, I thought the marbles would rattle out her ears. She’s got no Tegrity.
  7. I am in process of blacking out my 2014 Sierra Crew Cab. I have the chrome window trim at the moment. I see GM sells the Chrome for $450 and the Black plastic for $185. I am hoping I can find someone that wants to make a trade plus some cash. Or... you have black takes offs and already have chrome installed I'll but them direct and sell my chrome take offs separately.
  8. Not a big fan of chrome and swapped the back bumper with a black bumper off another truck and also ordered some black vinyl and ONE of my many zillions of my projects was to put it over the front bumper and grill. Since I had the grill off for my new black headlight assemblies I figured I would put one strip on to see how it looks and I like it a lot. I plan on doing all of the smaller strips of the grill as well but this was just a starter to get an idea of how it would come out. Very curious if anyone else has done this or thought of this as I think it’s a great alternative and option to painting it! Actually I’m thinking now I’m just doing the top middle and bottom and leave in the small chrome strips in between.
  9. Hoping somebody might want to trade their dark slate metallic paint matched grill, pictured below in that dealer photo, for my chrome one! Mine is in perfect shape with only 5700 miles on the truck. I like having a little bit of chrome like on the bumper and the middle portion but having the grill edge paint matched would be perfect for me. I live around Santa Cruz, CA, just in case somebody is local to me. Thanks for any interest! 87C241E6-8C9E-449E-AAAD-B47C48883946.jp2
  10. i have a pair of new, never used led decoders for the front turn signals of the 2014/2015 GMC Sierra trucks. comes with chrome amber bulbs. $20.00 can ship
  11. Hit curb, tore chrome overlay. Can this be repaired? I didn't really want these on my 6.2 SLT Premium Package, and wanted the rims that came w/ the 5.3, but dealer wanted too much to swap. I don't like a 2-part overlay.
  12. For Sale are (4) GMC Chrome Center Caps. These are in spectacular condition and ready to ship! They cost a king's ransom through GMC ($55 EACH!!) https://accessories.gmc.com/product/2018/GMC/Sierra 1500/center-cap-in-chrome-with-gmc-logo-19301603?categoryId=106001 [More Pictures below] Center Cap in Chrome with GMC LogoPart No. 19301603 Willing to sell them for $80 Shipped. 13. Taken off of my 2017 Silverado when it had less than 500 miles. Door handles are perfect, one tab broken on each mirror cap, will not affect function, will still hold securely and no one will be able to tell. $100 shipped to lower 48 if sent paypal family/friends Already packaged with bubble wrap and packaged up.
  14. OK, I come from a GM family and have owned many GM vehicles. I just bought a GMC Sierra 1500 Crew STL2 over a Denali in January. Now I like chrome but does anyone else think GMC goes overboard on the Denali chrome grills in their vehicles? I feel like they are just trying to out chrome everyone else. It's almost like, "hey, look at all this chrome. I'm a Denali. I'm expensive!" I may be biased but personally believe the STL grill is more subtle and stylish. My STL has the premium package with most of the same options as a Denali as well.
  15. Front and Rear OEM Take offs from 2018 GMC Sierra Denali No Scratches, no damage, like new. Cleaned, securely packaged, and ready to ship. $80 free shipping if sent via Paypal Friends
  16. Hey guys, I got a 18' Sierra SLT with the crazy good deals they have going on right now. I wanted to get the All terrain trim but it was hard to find at the time so I went with the next best thing. The amount of chrome on this truck is insane! I need help getting rid of it. Here's what I have right now: Here is the look i'm going for:
  17. Just picked up at 18 Sierra SLT in red quartz. I have the chrome bumpers in the front and rear. Anyone know how I can get a hold of ones that match my truck color?
  18. While i was installing my grille insert i accidentally dropped my grille onto a tool and it dinged/dented a small piece of the chrome grille. Was wondering if anybody knew of any type of repair that i could do to remedy this. It is pretty indented and i don't want this to start getting rusted from water getting underneath the chrome. I am planning to wrap it in vinyl so something to smooth it out might also be an option so that when its wrapped the dent wouldn't be noticeable. Thanks.
  19. I am looking to trade my chrome window sill trim for the black trim. 2014-2018. I'd rather not pay $250 for something so simple
  20. Hey guys, I am wanting to swap out my chrome window trim for the black trim. I have a 2014 Sierra Crew Cab. I was looking around at pricing the trim and it’s $300! Crazy. Would anybody be interested in swapping?
  21. https://www.ebay.com/itm/273226034501?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 Selling my brand new track grill still in the box if anyone is interested. This custom made grille is an exceptional eye catcher that will be sure to get you many looks, stares, and compliments. The grill has the word duramax in it, therefore it more so compliments the Diesel engine. Grille is brand new, still in the box. Also comes with 2 light bars already installed; with wiring harness.
  22. Hello all, New to the forum. I installed a train horn behind the front bumper and removed my lower air dam. Things is, I want to replace that black Sierra plastic skid plate with the =Denali Chrome one. Give the front end a beefier front end... I will try to add mock up pics from my iphone. Anyway, I got the lower dam off, piece of cake. Got all but two screws from the upper plastic skid plate. The other two screws are almost impossible to reach. HAs anyone tried to remove this thing? https://www.generalmotorspartsonline.com/oem-parts/gm-skid-plate-23243492?origin=pla I am really hoping I don't have to remove the front bumper,m valance trim etc just to get at those two screws. Anyone done this before? any ideas? Thanks in advance! here is the phtoshoped version of what i am trying. The white letters for gmc i already did with reflective vinyl, looks cool at night when lights hit it! Plus it matches the truck. I did the rear as well
  23. I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 LT Z71. On the factory grill, there are three gloss black "grill bars" that appear to be separate pieces from the flat black grill inserts. On the 2017 LTZ Z71, these three bars are chrome plated. I think that is a nice way to add just enough chrome to the grill to really make it pop, so to speak. Since I have not had the gril off of the truck, I am not sure how the gloss black grill bars are fastened on. Is there a way to remove them and replace them with the chrome versions? And if so, how would I obtain the chrome replacements without buying a complete LTZ Z71 grill from GM? Just for reference, here is a picture of my grill: And here is a picture of a LTZ Z71 grill. This is the look I am trying to achieve: I would really appreciate any input. Thanks
  24. Does anyone know of somewhere in the Houston area that would swap my door handles (have chrome but bought black ones) as well as remove my mirror caps and window belt moldings?? From everything I have read these items each take ~5min per door and a couple for the mirror caps. Hoping that someone who is comfortable with doing this could do it this quickly and for a reasonable price as I do not want to risk breaking any of the clips or turn a <1hr project into a 3hr one trying to do it myself... Thanks!
  25. I know a lot of people are running black rims on white trucks and blacked out black trucks and color matching etc. I decided to go old school chrome (lux) look. I made this happen on the front end by swapping out my black front bumper skid shield with the denali chrome one. I also as some of you may know, whited out my badges with reflective vinyle (see profile pic) and decided on chrome rims, exception, these rims are powder coated and flashed for the exact same look as chrome except they clean up just like paint. soap and water and wax. So this may not be for all but it takes me back a bit while still be modern. By the way, to remove this and replace. off comes the under grill molding, the radiator shroud, the front grill, the front bumper, remove both bumper backing plates remove and replace skid plate. i followed these instructions... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-do4lHsbydM
